RZ-69-10, D. & V. Builders. Inc.
Application to rezone from the A (Agricultural) District to the RM-2500 (Multiple
Family) District that property generally located ea et of Hopyard Road and south
of the Del Valle Parkway, said property containing 22.77 gross acres, more or
leas, and described in Assessor's Map Book 946, Page 3375, Parcel 2-2 (Public
Hearing continued from May 28, 1969).
Chairman Garrigan opened the Public Hearing. The Planning Director stated that
he had no additional comments to offer regarding this application. Would reaffirm
recommendation that if the Commission is so disposed to modify the application
to the PUD, it is proper to do so as the area is zoned for multiples in the
General Plan.
Mr. Dudley Frost, representing the applicant, demonstrated on the General Plan
the area in question. Mr. Frost took into consideration the suggestion of the
Planning Director and the City Attorney to attempt to find some reasonable way
to develop it as a PUD. He felt there was no feasible way to do this. Mr. Frost
feels that he is justified in developing this area in the RM-2500. Now that the
homes close by are being sold, it is the correct time to start processing this
parcel. He still supports the staff report that this item be approved as submitted.
Commissioner Antonini felt the parcel should be rezoned to the PUD, as did
Commissioner Pons and Chairman Garrigan.
Upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Chairman Garrigan, and carried,
the Public Hearing was closed.
Upon motion of Chairman Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and carried,
the following resolution was offered:
RESOLUTION N0. 912
A resolution of the Planning Commission of the
City of Pleasanton, recommending to the City
Council the approval of Zone Change No. 69-10,
filed by D. 6 V.
