a. Pay cash to the City for the estimated cost <br />of the required street improvements. <br />b. Post a surety bond for the estimated cost of <br />the required improvements with the City. <br />c. Enter into an agreement with the City whereby <br />the property owner agrees to pay the City the <br />cost of the required improvements upon completion <br />of a contract awarded by the City for construction <br />of the Del Valle Parkway. Said agreement would <br />be recorded and would run with the property and <br />would, in effect, became a second mortgage on <br />the property. <br />e. Article 17, Sizns <br />Application of the Planning Commission to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 520, <br />Sec.17.108(d). <br />Chairman Carrigan opened the Public Hearing. This item was a clarification of the <br />Zoning Ordinance as requested by D. 6 V. Builders, Inc., and the change agreed to <br />by the Commissioners. <br />As no comments were forthcoming, upon motion of Chairman Carrigan, seconded by <br />Commissioner Gibbs, and carried, the Public Hearing was closed. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pereira, seconded by Commissioner Pons, and carried, <br />the following resolution was adopted unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 936 <br />WHEREAS, the application of the Planning Commission for <br />an amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 520, <br />Article 17, Sec. 17.108(d), has come before <br />this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of <br />the City of Pleasanton hereby recommends to <br />City Council the amendment of Sec.17.108(d) <br />of said Zoning Ordinance to read as follows: <br />"d. One non-illuminated sign pertaining to <br />the proposed use such as a church, school, park, <br />multiple developments or shopping center, but <br />not exceeding twelve (12) square feet in area <br />may be erected at the site of each such proposed <br />use in a development;" <br />8. COMMUNICATIONS. <br />a. A communication had been received from Western Sierra Lumber Company, requesting <br />permission to cover their existing sign with opaque material. The Commissioners <br />did not feel that this would create a problem and permission was granted. <br />b. A rough draft of the questionnaire to be sent to residents of Valley Trails was <br />presented to the Commissioners for their thoughts. Several modifications were <br />offered and these were incorporated in the questionnaire. <br />- 6 - <br />
