WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton has considered Zone Amendment <br />Petition No. 69-13 filed by Mackay Homes to <br />amend Sec. 3.102 of Zoning Ordinance No. 520 <br />to change the zone district designation from the <br />A (Agricultural) District to the C-N, RM-1500, <br />RM-4000 and the R-1-6500 Districts that property <br />generally located between the Arroyo del Valle <br />and Hansen Drive, and west of Valley Avenue, <br />said property being a portion of Tract 2905, <br />said tentative map filed in the office of the <br />Planning Department, 603 Main Street, Pleasanton, <br />WHEREAS, said Commission has held a Public Hearing on <br />this petition and has examined the pertinent <br />maps, drawings and documents and finds that one <br />or more of the following conditions do exist: <br />1. That the proposed amendment will not be <br />contrary to the spirit and intent of the General <br />Plan. <br />2. That the proposed amendment is in the public <br />interest and general welfare, <br />3. That the proposed amendment creates a more <br />equitable condition for the community than <br />now prevails. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BS IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City <br />of Pleasanton hereby recommends to the City Council <br />the modification of said zone change amendment <br />from the A District to the RM-1500, RM-4000 and <br />the R-1-6500 Districts, with the stipulation that <br />the Neighborhood Commercial Center remain in the <br />A District, pending a study of the immediate <br />commercial neighborhood shopping centers, as to <br />their location, service areas and acreage size. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the 13th day of August, 1969, by the following <br />vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Gibbs, Pereira, Pons <br />Chairman Carrigan <br />Noes: <br />Absent: Commissioner Antonini <br />Attest: Secretary Castro <br />c. BZ-69-14. First Pleasanton Investors <br />Application to rezone by amendment to the original P.U.D. from the RM-2500 and <br />R-1-6500 Districts to the C-F and RM-2000 Districts, that property described as <br />Parcel 2-9 or Assessor's Map Book 946, Block 1101, containing 11.7 acres, more <br />or less, and a portion of Parcel 6, Assessor's Map Book 99-B, Block 3950, <br />Page 1, containing 9.1 acres, more or less, or more commonly known as that <br />property immediately south of Highway X580 and east of Tassajara Road, Pleasanton. <br />Chairman Carrigan opened the Public Hearing. Planning Director Castro demonstrated <br />and described the original map which was approved and the new concept being <br />applied for. It showed the RM-2500 District facing Interstate ~~580, with the <br />balance zoned Single Family. <br />- 3 - <br />
