.. ~-. •~ <br />Upon motion of Chairman Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Pereira, and carried, <br />the Public Hearing was closed. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pereira, seconded by Commissioner Pons, and carried, <br />the following resolution was offered; <br />RESOLUTION N0. 942 <br />A resolution of the Planning Commission of the <br />City of Pleasanton recommending to the City <br />Council the approval of Zone Change 69-16, filed <br />by Melvyn Whalin. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasan- <br />ton has considered Zone Change Amendment <br />Petition No. 69-16, filed by Melvyn Whalin <br />to amend Sec. 4.102, Zoning Ordinance No. 520, <br />to change the zone district designation from <br />R-1-6500 (Single Family) District to the <br />RM-1500 (Multiple Family) District on that <br />property described as 1162 and 1166 Division <br />Street, Pleasanton. <br />WHEREAS, said Commission hae held a Public Hearing on <br />this petition and has examined the pertinent <br />maps, drawings and documents and finds that one <br />or more of the following conditions do exist: <br />1. That the proposed amendment will not be <br />contrary to the spirit and intent of the General <br />Plan, <br />2. That the proposed amendment is in the public <br />interest and general welfare, <br />3. That the proposed amendment creates a more <br />equitable condition for the community than now <br />prevails. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of <br />the City of Pleasanton hereby recommends to the <br />City Council the modification of said zone <br />change to the RM-2000 (Multiple Family) District. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 3rd day of September, 1969, by <br />the following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Antonini, Pereira, Pona <br />and Chairman Garrigan <br />Noes: <br />Absent: Commissioner Gibbs <br />Abstain: <br />Attest: Secretary Castro <br />d. UP-69-17. Doris Gross <br />Application to allow the operation of a day care center fora maximum of five (5) <br />pre-school age children in her home located at 4082 Francisco Street, Pleasanton, <br />in a Single Family District. <br />Chairman Garrigan opened the Public Hearing. Planning Director Castro had no <br />further comments other than to offer one additional condition of approval and that <br />was that the premises be inspected by the Fire Department. <br />Mrs. Gross was present and concurred with the recommendations as set forth in <br />the staff report. <br />- 6 - <br />
