~ ~ <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 3rd day of September, 1969, <br />by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioner Antonini <br /> Commis~ianer Pereira <br /> Commissioner Pons <br /> Chairman Garrigan <br />Noes: <br />Absent: Commissioner Gibbs <br />Abstain: <br />Attest: Secretary Castro <br />Regarding the Office District Study, it was felt that a study session on this <br />item would be necessary and was so ordered by the Chairman for the month of <br />October. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS - PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br />a. RZ-69-15. American Forest Products <br />Application to rezone from the A (Agricultural) District to the C-C (Community <br />Commercial) District that property described as Parcel 3-4 of Assessor's Map <br />Book 946, Block 3295, containing 7.25 acres, more or less. <br />Upon motion of Chairman Garrigan, seconded by Comaissioner Pereira, and carried, <br />it was moved to continue this item until the meeting of September 24, 1969, <br />pending completion of this report. This continuance was with the approval of <br />the applicant. <br />b. GP-69-1, D. & V. Builders, Inc. <br />Application for General Plan Amendment to classify from the A (Agricultural) <br />District to the Medium Density Residential District that yropetty described <br />as Parcel 1 in Assessor's Map Book 946, Block 1250, containing 94.47 acres, <br />more or less, located on the east side of Santa Rita Road and more commonly <br />known as the Orloff parcel. <br />Chairman Garrigan opened the Public Hearing. Planning Director Castro had no <br />comments to offer other than those stated in the report of the staff. <br />Mr. Dudley Frost, representing D. & V. Builders, Inc., spike for the application, <br />stating that the General Plan indicated alternate uses and that they felt this <br />request would be in conformance with the Plan. <br />Mr. William Gale, Attorney representing the Orloff family, stated on behalf of <br />his client that they had no objections to this general plan amendment. <br />Commissioner Antonini had a question regarding the amount of industrial land <br />within the City of Pleasanton. He wished to know if the exfsting land zoned <br />industrial of 1500 acres included the Lands of San Francisco. The reply was no. <br />With the Lands of San Francisco added, the City of Pleasanton has a total of <br />2,100 acres of land zoned for industrial use. This figure also does not contain <br />any of the land presently zoned Agricultural. Considerable discussion ensued. <br />Upon motion of Chairman Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Pereira, and carried, <br />the Public Hearing was closed. <br />Upon motion of Chairman Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Pereira, and carried, <br />the following resolution was offered: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 941 <br />A resolution of the Planning Commission of <br />the City of Pleasanton, recommending to the City <br />Council the approval of General Plan Amendment <br />69-1, filed by D. & V.
