members of the audience, namely: Mr. Clyde Potvin; Mr. and Mrs. <br />King, owners of property adjacent to that of Mr. Potvin; and Mrs. <br />Sekany, landowner on Rose Avenue, spoke in favor of the rezoning. <br />No one present spoke against it, and Commissioner Landon then closed <br />the public hearing. <br />On motion of Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner <br />Antonini, the following resolution was unanimously adopted by the <br />Coeunission: <br />Resolution IQo. 161 <br />WHEREAS, the application of CLYDE POTVIN to rezone that property <br />fronting on Rose Avenue between Pleasanton Avenue and <br />Fair Street from R-2 (one and two family residential) district to <br />R-G (garden apartment residential) district under Ordinance No. <br />309 has come before this Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, this Commission does find that: <br />1. Notice has been given as required by Section 22.104 <br />of Ordinance 309 (Zoning Ordinance); <br />2. The proposed amendment conforms with the Pleasanton <br />General Plan; and <br />3. The public necessity and general welfare requires <br />the proposed change of district; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission does hereby recommend for <br />approval by the City Council the application of CLYDE <br />POTVIN for rezoning from R-2 (one and two family residential) <br />district to R-G (garden apartment residential) district the follow- <br />ing described property: <br />All those lots fronting on the northeasterly side <br />of Rose Avenue between Pleasanton Avenue and Fair <br />Street. <br />On motion of Commissioner Rega, seconded by Co~mnissioner <br />Antonini, it was unanimously decided that a Public Hearing be set <br />on the request of Art Hilliker to rezone that property on the south <br />side of St. John Street from the Western Pacific Railroad right-of- <br />way to C.C.(Community Comunercial) on Main Street from R-1 (single <br />family residential) to RG-15 (garden apartment residential-1500 <br />square foot minimum per dwelling unit) district for January 18, 1962. <br />Secretary Fales then brought up for discussion the i0-day waiting <br />period for the publishing of Variances, etc., and recommended that the <br />Staff be authorized to publish the items before they appear on the <br />-2- <br />
