Mr. Struthers, City Attorney, stated that he felt that this type <br />of situation will arise again and it might be well to have Mr. Brondolo <br />write s letter to the City stating that he understands the conditions of the <br />Variance and does accept it. Mr. Brondolo agreed and the Commission tabled <br />this item until later in the meeting to give Mr. Brondolo time to compose <br />the letter. <br />The Commission then set April 5, 1962 as the Public Hearing date for <br />the application of Amador Valley Homes for a Variance from Section 6.5, <br />Ordinance No. 309, in order to construct a single-family dwelling in en <br />R-1 (single family residential) District on Lot 17, Block 2, Tract 2110. <br />Mr. Falea then introduced Mr. Neil Moore of the Industrial Develop- <br />went Committee of the Chamber of Commerce who was in the audience. Mr. Moore <br />spoke briefly on behalf of the Committee giving a resume of the background <br />and .accomplishments of the Committee. He stated that he wanted to introduce <br />the idea of a liason between the Planning Commission sad the Committee in order <br />that they could have an informal exchange of ideas and perhaps the Committee <br />could bring their problems to the Commission in the hope that this might <br />be beneficial to the City in future planning. Mr. Moore also invited axgr <br />members of the Commission who wished to attend to a meeting-luncheon with <br />PG&E and P.T.T. regarding underground construction. <br />Mr. Norman Warnow, who was in the audience, told the Commission <br />that he had recently met with the Planning Director of San Joae who stated <br />that he would be most happy to meet with any group from Pleasanton on future <br />planning, if they Pelt he could be of some assistance. <br />Chairman Mitchell extended the Commission's appreciation to both <br />Mr. Moore and Mr. Warnow for their appearance, end suggestions. <br />There followed the consideration of the proposed residential develop- <br />went in the Pine Hill Area. Secretary Fales stated that a Mr. George Enderby <br />owns a parcel on Pine Hill Road on which development has met with some <br />difficulty due to the terrain. The portion of the road on which Mr. Ex]derby <br />wishes to build has sot been dedicated. The problems arising with this <br />particular area involve sewer and water system, widening of the road, etc. <br />There are three similar situa+,ions in this area and the problem has arisen <br />in previous years. A lengthy discuss:`o. ensu=d and, on motion of Commissioner <br />Landon, seconded by Commissioreu:5~ntonini and unanimously approved, the staff <br />was authorized to meet with the property owners and discuss the problem to try <br />to work out some sort of solution. <br />
