Stanley, <br />3850-J Vineyard Avenue, for a Variance from Section 8.500, Ordinance No. 309, in <br />order to allow construction of 12 multiple dwelling unite with a reduced site width <br />at 4275 Pleasanton Avenue in an RG-25 District. There being no comment from the <br />audience, it was moved by Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner Rega, and <br />carried, that the public hearing be closed. In giving the staff report, Mr. False <br />stated the staff recommends the Variance for site width reduction from 70 ft. to <br />52 ft. be granted. It was pointed out that the Variance requested for lot width <br />is for 150 ft. of the depth only; the remaining depth of 265 ft. is well over the <br />minimum width. Mr. Falea stated, in addition, that Ordinance No. 384, rezoning the <br />area in question from R-1 to RG-25 was adopted by the City Council on March 16, <br />1964, therefore, no building permits may be issued for multiple dwellings in this <br />area until April 16, 1964. After diecuesion by the Commission, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the following resolution <br />was adopted by unanimous vote of those Commissioners present: <br />RESOLUTION N0, 292 <br />WHEREAS, the application of John M. Stanley, 3850-J Vineyard Avenue, <br />for a Variance from Section 8.500, Ordinance No. 309, in order <br />to allow construction of 12 multiple dwelling unite with a reduced site <br />width at 4275 Pleasanton Avenue in an RG-25 District, has come before <br />this Commission; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED, that the City of Pleasanton Planning Commission does hereby <br />grant said Variance. <br />Chairman Landon then proceeded to open the public hearing on the application of <br />D & V Builders, Inc. for a Conditional Uae Permit under Section 6.301, Ordinance <br />No. 309, in order to construct a private recreational swim club on Lot 370, Tract <br />No. 2591, easterly of Hopyard Road in an R-1 District. Mr. Ted Weaver was present <br />in the audience on behalf of D & V Builders. It was moved by Commissioner Rega, <br />seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and carried, that the public hearing be closed. <br />Mr. False gave staff recommendations with regard to fencing, parking and landscap- <br />ing, following which the question of the private or quasi-public aspect of the swim <br />club was referred to City Attorney Struthers. Mr. Struthers stated the number of <br />families making use of the facility per day or per season will determine quaei- <br />public use. Mr. Weaver, in response to a question by Commissioner Rega, stated the <br />pool is designed to accommodate a maximum of 300 homes, and that D 6 V Builders <br />are tentatively planning a second swim club below Black Ave. City Engineer Campbel: <br />read from Section 17.301.1 of Ordinance No. 309 regarding screening and landscaping <br />of the parking area. Considerable diecuesion ensued with regard to this matter,ae <br />well as the number of parking spaces considered necessary, and ingress and egress. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Rega, the following <br />resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of those Commissioners present: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 293 <br />WHEREAS, the application of D ~ V Builders, Inc. fora Conditional Uee <br />Permit under Section 6.301, Ordinance No. 309, in order to <br />construct a private recreational swim club on Lot 370, Tract No. 2591, <br />easterly of Hopyard Road in an R-1 District, has come before this Com- <br />m:.~+eien; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />The above-named Conditional Uee Permit is hereby granted <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />a.
