<br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of John S. Codd, 4051
<br />Nevis Street, for a Variance from Section 6.500, Ord. No. 309, in order to allow
<br />an addition to a single-family dwelling within the required rear yard setback, at
<br />the above address, in an R-1 District. Mr. Falea, in giving the staff report,
<br />explained that, although the proposed addition will encroach into the 20 ft. re-
<br />quired rear yard, there is at this time a LO foot rear yard existing which the
<br />proposed addition will not further reduce. This is an "L"-shaped dwelling, the
<br />proposed addition is relatively small (57,•10% of the existing floor area), end
<br />the remainder of the rear yard ie between 40-50 ft. The staff, therefore, recom-
<br />mends that the Variance be granted. There being no comments from the audience,
<br />it was moved by Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and carried,
