<br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of John M. Stanley,
<br />4263 Pleasanton Ave., far a Variance from Section 8.500, Ord. No. 309, in order
<br />to construct a carport with a reduced side-yard setback, in connection with an
<br />existing duplex, in an RG-25 District. Mr. Campbell, in presenting the staff
<br />report, stated that on April 14, 1965, the Planning Commission approved a Zoning
<br />Permit application to allow the applicant to construct a duplex on the subject
<br />property with a condition that the garage moat be moved. The garage has aub-
<br />aequently been demolished, and the applicant now wishes to replace it with a car-
<br />port. The staff recommends approval of the subject Variance with the condition
<br />that the Variance remain in effect only as long ae the existing house at 4263
<br />Pleasanton Avenue remains standing. Mr. John Stanley was present in the audience
<br />and spoke on behalf of the subject application. There being no further comments
<br />from the audience, it was moved by Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Antonini, and carried, that the public hearing be closed. After discussion by
<br />the Commission, upon motion of Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Antonini, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote:
