NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
<br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be approved
<br />with the following conditions:
<br />1. If the wall is actually to be constructed
<br />in the street right-of-way, an encroach-
<br />ment permit must be obtained.
<br />2. That the developer acknowledge respon-
<br />sibility for the care and maintenance of
<br />the sign indefinitely regardless of
<br />whether it is in the street right-of-
<br />way or not.
<br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of Schulte-Blackwell
<br />Development Company, P.0. Box 817, Campbell, California, for a Conditional Use
<br />Permit in order to erect a subdivision identification sign on the east aide of Foot-
<br />hill Road in the Highland Oaks Subdivision, in an R-1 District. Mr. Fales pre-
<br />sented the staff report which stated that the proposed sign meets the Ordinance
<br />requirements. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner Rega, and
<br />carried, the public hearing was closed. After discussion by the Commission, upon
<br />motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner Rega, the following resolution
<br />was adopted by unanimous vote.
<br />RESOLUTION N0. 513
<br />WHEREAS, the application of Schulte-Blackwell Development
<br />Company, P.0. Box 817, Campbell, California, for
<br />a Conditional Use Permit in order to erect a sub-
<br />division identification sign on the east side of
<br />Foothill Road in the Highland Oaks Subdivision,
<br />in an R-1 District, has come before this Commission:
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
<br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be approved
<br />with the following condition:
<br />1. Time limitation of two years on sign.
<br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of Vineyard Terrace
<br />Development Company, P.0. Box 157, Pleasanton, for a Variance from Sections 6.5 and
<br />18.101, Ordinance No. 309, in order to allow construction of a single-family
<br />dwelling with a reduced rear and aide yard setback, at 484 Mavis Drive, in an R-1
<br />District. Mr. Fales presented the staff report which pointed out the difficulty
<br />involved to site a house on a corner lot, and that this proposal meets the require-
<br />ments for a Variance. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Plato, and carried, the public hearing was closed. Mr. Walter Lund was present in
<br />the audience. After discussion by the Commission, upon motion of Commissioner Plato,
<br />seconded by Commissioner Rega, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous
<br />vote.

<br />The next item on the agenda was the application of Frank Schmidig, 819 Kolln Street,
<br />for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Architectural and Landscaping Approval in order
<br />to construct a four-pier at 4059 Vineyard Avenue, in an RG-15 District. Mr. Fales
<br />presented the staff report which pointed out a shortage of parking spaces. Mr.
<br />Bob Bauge, representing Mr. Schmidig, and Mr. Schmidig were present in the audience.
