Commissioner Rega, and carried, the public hearing was closed. Mr. Stan Saylor of <br />the County Water Resources French was present in the audience and presented a sample <br />of the type of fencing that would be used to surround the property. After dis- <br />cussion by the Commission, upon motion of Commissioner Rega, seconded by Chairman <br />Landon, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 510 <br />WHEREAS, the application of the Alameda County Flood Control <br />and Water Conservation District, 224 West Winton <br />Avenue, Hayward, for a Variance from Section 4.500, <br />Ordinance No. 309, in order to construct a water <br />pumping station with reduced area and yard require- <br />ments on a parcel of property located on the east <br />side of Santa Rita Road, immediately north of the <br />Southern Pacific San Ramon Branch Line, in an A- <br />District, has come before this Commission: <br />NO[d, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be approved. <br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of the Alameda County <br />Flood Control and Water Conservation District, 224 L7est Winton Avenue, Hayward, for <br />a Conditional Use Permit under Section 4.309, Ordinance No. 309, in order to con- <br />struct a water supply pumping station on a parcel of property located on the east <br />side of Santa Rita Road, immediately north of the Southern Pacific San Ramon Branch <br />Line, in an A-District. Mr. Fales presented the staff report which stated that this <br />proposal, with the exceptions for which Variances have been noted, meets the require- <br />ments of the ordinance and recommended approval with no specific conditions. Upon <br />motion of Commissioner Rega, seconded by Chairman Landon, and carried, the public <br />hearing was closed. Box 817, Campbell, California, for a Conditional Use <br />Permit in order to construct subdivision entrance walls at the northeast and south- <br />east corners of Foothill Road and Highland Oaka Drive, in an R-1 District. Mr. <br />Fales presented the staff report which pointed out that this wall would appear to <br />be an attractive addition to the neighborhood and that identification of neighbor- <br />hoods is a desirable feature. Mr. Jim Blackwell was present in the audience. Upon <br />motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by Commissioner Rega, and carried, the public <br />hearing was closed.
