1. Amore precise grading and drainage plan be <br />submitted with the Site Plan for review and <br />approval of the City Engineer prior to the <br />issuance of a building permit. <br />2. All off-street parking areas and access drive- <br />ways moat be paved to City standards with a <br />minimum of 1'~ inches of asphalt concrete and <br />5 inches of aggregate base. <br />3. Driveway approach from Palomino Drive must <br />be installed to City standards. <br />4. Existing street trees located in the existing <br />planter strip will have to be relocated if <br />necessary to clear the proposed driveways. <br />5. No permit for occupancy shall be granted until <br />a 20 foot easement for emergency vehicles has <br />been granted to the City. <br />6. Buildings on Lots 81 and 82 shall be moved <br />forward five feet to keep front of buildings <br />uniform. <br />Chairman Landon then opened the public hearing on nine applications of Rainier Con- <br />struction Company, 6000 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, for a Variance from the required <br />rear-yard setback in construction of a single family dwelling in an R-1 District. <br />Addresses are 1789, 1765, 1699, 1710, 1608, 1640, 1648, 1680 and 1696 Orchard Way. <br />Mr. Fales presented the staff report. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by <br />Commissioner Antonini, and carried, the public hearing was closed. After further <br />discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Plato, the <br />following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 550 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Rainier Construction Company, <br />6000 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, for a Variance from <br />the required rear-yard setback in construction of a <br />single family dwelling at 1789, 1765, 1699, 1710, <br />1608, 1640, 1648, 1680 and 1696 Orchard Way, in an <br />R-1 District, has come before this Commission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the nine above-named applications be approved. <br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of the Planning Com- <br />mission for an amendment to Section 8.500, Ordinance No. 309, regarding the expansion <br />of the minimum lot widths ~oithin RG Districts. It was suggested to continue this <br />public hearing and hold a study session to determine precisely what is desired. <br />Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and carried, the <br />public hearing was continued to the meeting of April 27, 1966, with a study session <br />prior to the regular meeting to be held at 7:00 P.M. <br />The next item on the agenda was the application of Wanda Aldrich, 393 Rose Avenue, <br />for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Architectural and Landscape Approval in order to <br />construct an eight-unit multiple dwelling at 421 Rose Avenue, in an RG-15 District. <br />Mr. Falea presented the staff report which listed recommended conditions for approval. <br />Mr. Al Morris, representing Mrs. Aldrich, was present in the audience.
