Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of the Western Pacific
<br />Railroad Company, 1025 19th Street, Sacramento, for as amendment to Ordinance No.
<br />309 rezoning approximately two acres of property located south of Bernal Avenue
<br />immediately west of the Western Pacific Railroad right-of-way, from the I-P to the
<br />I District. Mr. Pales presented the staff report which recommended denial of this
<br />application. Mr. Patrick Sullivan, representing Western Pacific Railroad, suggested
<br />a possible conditional rezoning and further stated that this land was to be used to
<br />park four trailers for workers of the railroad. Mr. Campbell read the Ordinance
<br />pertaining to the I-P District. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Com-
<br />missioner Antonini, and carried, the public hearing was closed. During the dis-
<br />cussion which followed, Chairman Landon read a letter written to the Western
<br />Pacific Railroad by Mr. Struthers, City Attorney. Upon motion of Commissioner
<br />Plato, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the following resolution was adopted by
<br />unanimous vote.

<br />WHEREAS, the application of the Western Facific Railroad
<br />Company, 1025 19th Street, Sacramento, for an
<br />amendment to Ordinance No. 309 rezoning approxi-
<br />mately two acres of property located south of
<br />Bernal Avenue immediately west of the Western
<br />Pacific Railroad right-of-way, from the I-P to
<br />the I District, has come before this Commission:

<br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be denied.
<br />Chairman Landon informed the applicant of his rights to appeal.
<br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of Joseph Madden, 3851
<br />Vineyard Avenue, for a Variance from the required front-yard setback in connection
<br />with an existing single-family dwelling located at 3851 Vineyard Avenue, in an RG-25
<br />District. Mr. Fales presented the staff report which recommended granting of the
<br />Variance. Mr. Jack Bras, representing Mr. Madden, offered to answer any questions
<br />the Commission might have. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Cormnisaioner
<br />Antonini, and carried, the public hearing was closed. A Zoning Permit application
<br />appearing on this same agenda was also considered at this time. Mr. Falea presented
<br />the staff report which recommended approval of Zoning Permit with no conditions.
<br />Upon notion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the following
<br />resolution was adopted by unanimous vote.
