RESOLUTION N0. 588 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Standard Oil Compaq of <br />California, 225 Bush Street, San Francisco, <br />for a Conditional Use Permit in order to con- <br />struct an auto service station on a .39 acre <br />parcel located on the southwest corner of <br />Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue, in a C-N <br />District, has come before this Co®iasion: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be Granted with <br />the following conditions: <br />1. A detailed site drainage plan moat be submitted <br />to and approved by the City Engineer prior to the <br />issuance of a Building Permit. <br />2. The lighting of said auto service station and <br />site shall be effected so as to, in the opinion <br />of the City Engineer, eliminate all undesirable <br />Aare. <br />3. All signs installed as a part of said auto <br />service station must meet the requirements <br />of Ordinance No. 309, and must receive approval <br />of the Public Works Department prior to in- <br />stallation. Paraphernalia and festoons shall <br />be considered signs. <br />4. The operation of said auto service station shall <br />be restricted to the sale of automotive products <br />and the service and repair of motor vehicles. <br />S. The architecture of said auto service station <br />shall conform to the architecture of the other <br />buildings located in the C-N Dlatrict in which <br />said station is located. <br />Vice-Chairman Johnston opened the public heating on the application of Richard <br />Maggach, 1647 Loganberry Way, for a Conditional Use Permit in order to install a <br />temporary storage building upon a parcel of property located at the northwest <br />corner of Neal Street and Railroad Avenue, in a C-C District. Mr. Fales presented <br />the staff report which recommended approval with stated conditions. Mr. Maggach <br />was present in the audience. Upon motion of Vice-Chairman Johnston, seconded by <br />Commissioner Arnold, and carried, the public hearing was closed. After further <br />discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Carrigan, seconded by Commissioner Arnold, <br />the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 589 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Richard D. Maggach, 1647 Loganberry <br />Way, for a Conditional Use Permit in order to install <br />a temporary storage building upon a parcel of property <br />located at the northwest corner of Neal Street and Rail- <br />road Avenue, in a C-C District, has come before this <br />Commission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be approved subject <br />to conditions listed 1n staff report. <br />Vice-Chairman Johnston opened the public hearing on the application of the Pleas- <br />anton Rotary Club, P,O, Box 352, Pleasanton, for a Conditional Use Permit in order <br />to erect City identification and welcome aigna together with service club insignias <br />et major entrances to the City. In presenting the staff report, Mr. Falea informed <br />the Commission that the staff endorsed the idea of these aigna. Mr. Ted Fairfield <br />was present in the audience and spoke explaining the method of maintenance, lo- <br />cations, etc., on the proposed sign structures. Mr, Fairfield further stated that <br />the hopes of the Rotary Club were that all service clubs in this area would use the <br />
