Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Wanda Glaser,
<br />303 Rose Avenue, for a Variance from the provisione of Article 8, Ordinance No.
<br />309, in order to construct a three-unit multiple dwelling at 3764 Augustine Street,
<br />in an RG-15 District. It was determined to consider the Zoning Permit in connec-
<br />tion with this same application concurrent with the Variance application. Mr.
<br />Falea presented the staff reports which recommended approval of the application
<br />with some conditions attached to the Zoning Pezmit. Upon motion of Commissioner
<br />Arnold, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, the public hearing was closed.
<br />After discussion regarding underground utilities, upon motion of Commissioner
<br />Garrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, the following resolution was adopted by
<br />unanimous vote.
<br />RESOLUTION N0. 626
<br />WHEREAS, the application of Wanda Glaser, 303 Rose Avenue,
<br />for a Variance from the provisione of Article 8,
<br />Ordinaace No. 309, in order to construct a three-
<br />unit multiple dwelling at 3764 Augustine Street,
<br />in an RG-15 District, has come before this Commission:
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
<br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be approved.
<br />After further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by
<br />Chairman Antonini, and carried, it was determined that the above named Zoning
<br />Permit be approved subject to the following conditions:
<br />1. Applicant must replace that portion of the sidewalk fronting
<br />said property which, in the opinion of the Mrector of Public
<br />Works, is broken or otherwise deteriorated. It is estimated
<br />that 60Z of said sidewalk area is in need of replacement.
<br />2. Applicant must plant two small street trees, to be approved by
<br />the Director of Public Works, within the planter strip fronting
<br />said property. The Site Plan must be corrected in order to
<br />properly locate said planter strip in relation to the property.
<br />3. The landscaping indicated on the Site Plan to be installed be-
<br />tween the parking area and Augustine Street is shown incorrectly
<br />on the Site Plan. Said landscaped area moat be redesigned and
<br />approved by the Mrector of Public Works prior to issuance of a
<br />building permit. It is, in addition, suggested that a sprinkler
<br />system be installed to irrigate said area.
<br />4. Complete underground utilities are required for said development,
<br />in accordance with the pertinent provisions of Ordinance No. 309.
<br />The next item on the agenda was the application of Struthers and Crew, Attorneys
<br />at Law, 1643 First Street, Livermore, for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Archi-
<br />tectural and Landscape Approval, in order to establish a law office at 397 Ray
<br />Street, in a C-C District. Afr. Falea presented the staff report, which recommended
<br />approval. Mr. Struthers was present and explained the plane. After further
<br />discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini,
<br />and carried, it was determined to approve the above mentioned Zoning Permit.
<br />The next item on the agenda was the application of Elouiae Rogers, 847-A Rose
<br />Street, Pleasanton, for a Zoning Permit in order to install and occupy a mobile
<br />home at the Berry Farm, Stanley Boulevard. Mr. Falea presented the staff report
<br />and gave some background information regarding this property, and recommended
<br />approval of the requested permit. After diacusaion, upon motion of Commissioner
<br />Arnold, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, the above mentioned Zoning
<br />Permit was approved, subject to the following condition:
<br />1. Said permit is issued for a period of two years from the date
<br />of issuance. At the end of the two year period, the applicant
<br />may apply for an extension of time.
