Under Communications, a letter from The County Planning Office, with copy of
Board of Supervisors Resolution Number 112790 attached, was sent with the agenda,
regarding Kaiser Sand and Gravel Pit Permit, Q-53, timing of the installation of
buffer landscaping which must be installed prior to June 24, 1969.
Another Communication was read from Alan Hart, Division of Highways, regarding
Assembly Bill 51, which went into effect October 6, 1966. This law provides for
control of junkyards, scrap metal processing facilities, and automobile dis-
mantling facilities within 1,000 feet of the nearest edge of the right-of-way
of all Interstate and Federal-Aid Primary State Highways.
Regarding Reports of Commission Committees; the City Council changed the schedule
of the proposed Zoning Ordinance study from November 28 to December 5th, in order
to permit the Zoning Ordinance Committee, and various other people to study the
ordinance in detail and detetmine what changes should be made before preparation
of a revised draft that will be the subject of public hearings by the City Planning
Commission and City Council in January, 1967. Preparations are being made to set
up meeting times for the Zoning Ordinance Committee.
There being no further business to coma before the Commission, upon motion of
Commissioner Carrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, the meeting
was adjourned at 9:00 P.M, to meet again on Wednesday, November 9, 1966, at
8:00 P,M.
