Under Communications, a letter from The County Planning Office, with copy of <br />Board of Supervisors Resolution Number 112790 attached, was sent with the agenda, <br />regarding Kaiser Sand and Gravel Pit Permit, Q-53, timing of the installation of <br />buffer landscaping which must be installed prior to June 24, 1969. <br />Another Communication was read from Alan Hart, Division of Highways, regarding <br />Assembly Bill 51, which went into effect October 6, 1966. This law provides for <br />control of junkyards, scrap metal processing facilities, and automobile dis- <br />mantling facilities within 1,000 feet of the nearest edge of the right-of-way <br />of all Interstate and Federal-Aid Primary State Highways. <br />Regarding Reports of Commission Committees; the City Council changed the schedule <br />of the proposed Zoning Ordinance study from November 28 to December 5th, in order <br />to permit the Zoning Ordinance Committee, and various other people to study the <br />ordinance in detail and detetmine what changes should be made before preparation <br />of a revised draft that will be the subject of public hearings by the City Planning <br />Commission and City Council in January, 1967. Preparations are being made to set <br />up meeting times for the Zoning Ordinance Committee. <br />There being no further business to coma before the Commission, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Carrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 9:00 P.M, to meet again on Wednesday, November 9, 1966, at <br />8:00 P,M. <br />
