4b. UP-66-31. Fairview Trailer Court.
<br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of the Fairview
<br />Trailer Court, 785 Rose Avenue, for a Conditional Use Permit in order to construct
<br />certain modified facilities within said trailer court, at the above address, in an
<br />RG-15 District. Mr. Spink presented the staff report which recommended approval
<br />with stated conditions. Mr. Benhart was present in the audience and concurred with
<br />the staff report. Upon motion of Commiadioner Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Arnold, and carried, the public hearing was closed. After further discussion,
<br />upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Plato, the following
<br />resolution was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br />WHEREAS, the application of the Fairview Trailer Court,
<br />785 Roae Avenue, fora Conditional Uae Permit
<br />in order to construct certain modified facilities
<br />within said trailer court, at the above address,
<br />in an RG-15 District, has come before this
<br />Commission:
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
<br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be approved subject
<br />to the following conditions:
<br />1. That the expiration date of this Conditional Use
<br />Permit coincide with that of the Conditional Use
<br />Permit issued for this property on July 28, 1965,
<br />namely July 28, 1970.
<br />2. That the owner be reminded of his obligation
<br />to construct full street improvements by
<br />July 28, 1967.
<br />3. That necessary permits be obtained before start
<br />of contemplated work.
<br />4. That modifications appraved are as shown on
<br />Exhibit A.
<br />4c. V-67-1. First Pleasanton Investors.
<br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of First Pleasanton
<br />Investors, 582 Market Street, San Prancisco, for a Variance from Sections 17.703
<br />and 17.706, Ordinance No. 309, in order to erect an advert izing sign in comiection
<br />with an auto service station to be located in the southeast quadrant of the U.S.
<br />580, Santa Rita Road interchange, in a C-T District. Mr. Spink presented the
<br />staff report which recommended denial of this application; but if the Commission
<br />should choose to approve this application, staff did recommend several conditions
<br />to be attached. Mr. George Oakes was present in the audience and described the
<br />type of sign, height, landscaping concept, etc. Upon motion of Commissioner
<br />Garrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, the public hearing was
<br />closed. During the discussion which followed, Mr. Zunick of Gulf Oil Corporation,
<br />spoke briefly relative to signs along freeways. Upon motion of Commissioner
<br />Johnston, seconded by Chairman Antonini, a resolution was made to approve said
<br />sign for height of 25 feet, and square footage of 200 square feet. Roll Call
<br />vote was as follows: AYES: Johnston, NOES: Arnold, Garrigan, Antonini, ABSTAINED:
<br />Plato. After further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by
<br />Commissioner Garrigan, and carried, it was determined to continue this item, with
<br />the consent of the applicant, to the meeting of February 8, 1967.

<br />The next item to be discussed was application of First Pleasanton Im~estora, 582
<br />Market Street, San Francisco, for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Landscape and
<br />Architectural Approval, in order to construct an automobile service station at the
<br />southeast quadrant of the U.S. 580 - Santa Rita Road interchange, in a C-T District.
<br />Mr. Spink presented the staff report which recommended approval with several
<br />stated conditions. After further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Arnold,
<br />seconded by Chairman Antonini, and carried, it was determined that the above
<br />mentioned Zoning Permit be approved with the following conditions:
<br />1. The applicant to be advised that at such time as the remainder
<br />of the property developea, the provision of joint circulation
<br />will be required.
