<br />the public hearing was closed. After further discussion, upon motion of
<br />Commissioner Plato, seconded by Chairman Antonini, the following resolution
<br />was adopted by unanimous vote.

<br />WHEREAS, the application of First Pleasanton Investors,
<br />582 Market Street, San Francisco, for a Vari-
<br />ance from Sections 17.703 and 17.706, Ordinance
<br />No. 309, in order to erect an advertising sign in
<br />the southeast quadrant of the U.S. 580, Santa
<br />Rita Road interchange, is a C-T District, has
<br />come before this Commission;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
<br />RESOLVED: that the above-named application be approved sub-
<br />ject to the following conditions:
<br />1. Gulf sign area not to exceed 200 square
<br />feet.
<br />2. Sign to be placed in a landscaped area,
<br />the least dimension of which ie one-half
<br />the sign height but in no case less than
<br />the greatest lineal dia~enaion of the sign.
<br />3. The height of the sign not to exceed 25
<br />feet to top of sign.
<br />4. Sign revision shall provide for addition

<br />the southeast quadrant of the U.S. 580 - Santa Rita Road interchange, in a
<br />C-T District. Mr. Spink presented the staff report. After discussion,

<br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of the Roman
<br />Catholic Bishop of Oakland, Jack Buchter AIA and Asaociatea, 3729 Mt. Diablo
<br />Boulevard, Lafayette, acting as agents, for a Conditional Use Permit in
<br />order to construct a church and related facilities on property located at
<br />the easterly end of East Angela Street in an A District. Mr. Spink pre-
<br />sented the staff report which recommended approval with stated conditions.
<br />Mr. Al Haggerty of Jack Buchter AL9 and Asaociatea was present in the aud-
<br />ience, and concurred with the staff report. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini,
<br />seconded by Commissioner Arnold, and carried, the public hearing was closed.
