The Planning Commission made no commitment as to the acceptability <br />of these variance possibilities since these matters were not under discussion <br />as part of this rezoning request. Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded <br />by Commissioner Plato, the following resolution was adopted with the following <br />vote. AYES: Commissioners Arnold, Plato, Chairman Antonini. NOES: Commissioner <br />Carrigan. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 653 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Pleasanton Gardens, Inc., P.0. <br />Box 911, Pleasanton, for an amendment to Ordinance <br />No. 309, rezoning approximately two acres located <br />at 251 Kottinger Avenue from the R-1 District to <br />the RG-15 or other District, has come before this <br />Commission: <br />NOW, THEREPORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: to recommend to the City Council to approve rezon- <br />ing from R-1 to RG-25. <br />At this point in the meeting, a ten minute recess was called. <br />Chairman Antonini called the meeting back to order at 9:10 P.M. <br />4c. UP-67-2. Cope-Peterson Associates. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Cope-Peterson <br />Associates, 1367 Poat Street, San Francisco, as agent for the California <br />and Nevada District Lutheran Church, for a Conditional Use Permit for a <br />church and related facilities to be located on the southwest corner of Hopyard <br />Road and Golden Road in an R-1 District. Mr. Spink presented the staff report <br />which recommended approval with stated conditions. Mr. Cope was present in <br />the audience and spoke relative to the proposed development. Upon motion <br />of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and carried, the public <br />hearing was closed. After further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner <br />Carrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, the following resolution was adopted <br />by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 654 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Cope-Peterson Associates, 1367 <br />Post Street, San Francisco, as agent for the California <br />and Nevada District Lutheran Church, for a Conditional <br />Uae Permit for a church and related facilities to be <br />located on the southwest corner of Hopyard Road and <br />Golden Road in an R-1 District, has come before this <br />Cammission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above named application be approved subject <br />to the following conditions: <br />(1) A Site Plan, Landscape and Architectural approval <br />shall be obtained for each phase of the proposed <br />development. <br />(2) No Building Permit may be issued for the subject <br />development until flood control and drainage <br />problems associated with the subject parcel <br />have been solved to the satisfaction of the City <br />Engineer. <br />(3) All parking areas and access drives must be paved <br />with a minimum of five inches of base rock under <br />one-and-one-half inches of asphalt. <br />(4) Prior to issuance of a Building Permit, a site <br />drainage plan must be submitted to and approved <br />by the City Engineer. <br />(5) All existing wells on the property shall be sealed <br />and abandoned in conjunction with Phase I devel- <br />opment in accordance with the recommendations <br />of the California Department of Water Resources <br />in their Bulletin No. 74-2.
