Communications. <br />The next item on the agenda was a letter from the Pleasanton Joint School <br />District regarding site approval for the Fairlands Elementary School and <br />Crellin Road Elementary School. Mr. Spink presented the staff report which <br />recommended that the Planning Commission advise the school district of the <br />circumstances related to each site and the problems that might result from <br />premature acquisition. The district should also be reminded that as a public <br />use, a Uae Permit is required prior to development and that the granting of <br />a Use Permit for the Crellin Road site would be inappropriate at this time <br />and would continue to be inappropriate until such time as adequate access <br />can be assured. After further discussion, UPON MOTION OF CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, <br />SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER PLATO, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE STAFF <br />SHOULD ADVISE THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AS RSCOMHEPIDED IN TAE STAFF REPORT. <br />The next Communication discussed was the East Bay Metropolitan Planning <br />Council set for Friday, March 31, 1967. Mt. Spink offered to transport any <br />Commissioners who might wish to go with him. <br />The next Com~unication discussed was the meeting of the Livermore City <br />Council and Planning Commission together with the Pleasanton City Council and <br />Planning Commission regarding air pollution control in the Amador-Livermore <br />Valley. Said meeting is set for April 19, 1967. <br />8a. Tentative Subdivision Mae - Tract 2904. D & V Builders, Inc. <br />The next item on the agenda was Tract 2904, D and V Builders, request for <br />approval of a tentative map for portions of the area generally bounded by <br />Hopyard Road, Valley Avenue, Santa Rita Road and Pleasanton Canal. Mr. <br />Spink presented the staff report which recommended approval with stated <br />conditions. Mr. Dudley Frost spoke briefly relative to the mixture of lot <br />sizes in this development; on Conditions 5 and 7 of the staff report, Mr. <br />Frost stated that his firm would participate but were limited by City and <br />State regulations. <br />Mr. Frost also asked that Condition 10 be changed to say that all lore <br />backing up to school or park site have a minimum depth of 110 to 115 feet <br />in this development. Upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by <br />Commissioner Carrigan, the following resolution wee adopted by unanimenA <br />vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 661 <br />WHEREAS, the request for approval of a tentative map, <br />Tract 2904, D ~ V Builders, for portions of <br />the area generally bounded by Hopyard Road, <br />Valley Avenue, Santa Rita Road and Pleasanton <br />Canal, has come before this Co®ission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BS IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above named tentative map for Tract <br />2904, be approved.aubject to the following <br />conditions: <br />(1) That all in-tract easements be granted as public <br />service easements with no reference to specific use. <br />(2) That the number, size and location of fire hydrants <br />remain subject to change pending completion of a study <br />of this matter by the Fire Chief. <br />(3) That the developer provide all the street lighting <br />facilities necessary to adequately light the streets <br />within and adjacent to this tract at the lowest possible <br />cost to the City and in accordance with the method, City <br />owned or P.G.6E, owned, that is commonly in use by <br />the City of Pleasanton at the time of approval of the <br />final map. <br />(4) ThaC tltleEtriC ~ dist~ibattorF-.anr3`' communication <br />ed~rv"iE'6"sylrlems be placed Cb~allyr underground except <br />fos pad mounted traea4ormers and above-ground splicing <br />cabinets where necessary. <br />3-29-67 <br />
