The next item was the application of D & V <br />Builders for a Zoning Permit with Planned Unit Development approval for <br />approximately 41 acres located on the east side of Hopyard Road between Black <br />Avenue and Valley Avenue in proposed C-N, C-0, RG-15, RG-25, and R-2 Districts. <br />Mr. Spink presented the staff report. Mr. Dudley Frost, representing D & V <br />Builders spoke concerning their objectives and standards, and asked that the <br />Commission refer the report to the City Council for their comments on the <br />anchor tenant, but with the Commission's approval or disapproval stated. Mr. <br />Frost stated he had worked closely with the Director of Recreation on the park <br />proposal. The'next item on the agenda was the application <br />of D & V Builders, 6000 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, for an amendment to Ordi- <br />nance No. 309 amending the district boundaries of the Zoning Map by redesig- <br />nating approximately 41 acres located on the east side of Aopyard Road between <br />Black Avenue and Valley Avenue from an "A" (Agricultural) District to C-N, <br />C-0, RG-15, RG-25, and R-2 (Commercial and Multi-family Garden Apartments) <br />Districts. Mr. Spink informed the Commission that the public hearing notice. <br />had been published for September 27, 1967, and that this item should be <br />continued to that date. Z-67-SS, Stanford L. $olmstren. The next item on the agenda was the appli- <br />cation of Stanford L. Holmgren, 1630 Newell Avenue, Walnut Creelc, for a Zoning <br />Permit with a Planned Unit Development approval for approximately 5.9 gross <br />acres located on the east side of Sunol Boulevard in the vicinity of <br />Arlington Drive in a proposed RG-25 District. Mr. Spink presented the staff <br />report which asked for a determination as to conformance of the proposal to <br />the General Plan. The Commission felt that the persons in Rosepointe Develop- <br />ment should be notified as to the forthcoming public hearing regarding this <br />new proposal. Mr. Charles Del1c, architect for the applicant, offered a presen- <br />tation of the proposal discussing density, design, parking, etc. Mr. Delk <br />further suggested a tour of the Camelback project in Walnut Creek to familiarize <br />the Commission with the type of project proposed. Associated Homebuilders. In light of action taken on Item 4a, RZ-67-11, <br />pertaining to the Zoning Ordinance, it was suggested that this item be con- <br />tinued. Mr. Spink presented the staff report which suggested <br />a presentation from the sign company for informational purposes. Mr. Thiessen <br />of Diamond Signs, Inc., was present in the audience and offered a presentation <br />to the Commission concerning a sign delineating tract locations in the form <br />of a map.
