UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, SECONDED BY CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, AND CARRIED, <br />IT WAS DETERMINED TO APPROVE Z-68-5 TO CONSTRUCT AN ENTRANCEWAY SIGN ON CORNERS <br />OF LOTS 113 AND 71; ALSO APPROVED WAS Z-68-6, PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT AN ENTRANCEWAY <br />SIGN TO DIRECT PUBLIC, LOCATED ON CORNER AT JUNCTION OF FAIRLANDS DRIVE AND <br />WEST LAS POSITAS, WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br />1. That said signs shall be located as shown on the site plan labeled Exhibit <br />"A" and Exhibit "B". <br />2. That the size of the signs shall be as per descriptions noted on Exhibit "A". <br />3. That landscaping shall be provided as per description of materials listed <br />on plans labeled Exhibit A. <br />Sb) UP-68-3, City Council. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of the City <br />Council for a Conditional Use Permit under Section 11.301 for the installation <br />of an interim public library facility in a portable modulux building, to be <br />located at 320 Main Street. Mr. Castro explained to the Commission that the <br />proposed site had been approved by both the City and the County Library <br />administration, but approval by the Planning Commission was also required. Mr. <br />Castro stated that parking was more than adequate; also that the modulux build- <br />ing was the same as proposed for the first library site. Mr. Campbell explained <br />that Condition $6 did not mean that the entire parking area. needed to be paved, <br />but only the areas that were sub-standard. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, <br />seconded by Comeaisaioner Garrigan, and carried, the public hearing was cloaed_ <br />Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by CommiFSioner Garrigan, the <br />following Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 758 <br />WHEREAS, the application of the City Council for a Conditional <br />Use Permit under Section 11.301 for the installation <br />of an interim public library facility in a portable <br />modulux building, to be located at 320 Main Street, <br />has come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above application be approved subject to <br />the following conditions: <br />1. That the permit shall be granted for a period of <br />time not to exceed five years. <br />2. That should there be a parking problem created <br />by the increased population, that the City Council <br />and/or Alameda County reconsider this particular <br />site or make some effort to provide additional <br />off-street parking on an adjoining area. <br />3. That landscaping shall be provided as per site <br />plan Labeled Exhibit "A". <br />4. That the parking areaand size.shali.:be..as:ehown <br />on the Site Plan labeled Exhibit "A". <br />5. That the parking area be paved with asphalt. <br />6. Site improvements and drainage plans shall be <br />subject to the approval of the Public Works <br />Director. <br />7.
