1. That all polishers and cleaning supplies shall be stored within the <br />dwelling unit or garage area; <br />2. That all flammable cleaning fluids to be stored on the premises, shall <br />be subject to the review and approval of the Pire Department; <br />3. That the use is carried on by a resident of the dwelling only and does <br />not involve the employment of any other person; <br />4. That the use does not involve the display of merchandise, products, or <br />other material or equipment for advertising purposes; <br />5. That the use does not involve the retail Bale of a commodity on the <br />premises; <br />6. That it does not generate vehicular traffic in excess of that which is <br />normally asaoclated with single family residential use; <br />7. That it does not involve any exterior indication of the Home occupation <br />or alteration of the dwelling to adapt to the home occupation; <br />8. That it does not involve the use of an exterior sign, and does not create <br />noise, odor, duet, fumes, vibration, smoke, electrical interference, or <br />other interference, with the residential use of adjacent property; <br />9. That the use is incidental to, but connected with and ancillary to the <br />use of the premises as a residence. <br />10. That the permit shall be issued for a period of one year. <br />6b,) 2-68-13. Modern Neon Sign Comnanv. <br />Application of Modern Neon Sign Company, 2505 Poplar Street, Oakland, for <br />an interior illuminated sign installation to be located at 2025 Santa Rita <br />Road. Mr. Castro reviewed for the Commission the problem of granting a sign <br />when the property may become a non-conforming use, thereby lengthening the <br />amortization period. Mr. Nunt stated his request was to place the proposed <br />sign, advertizing his restaurant, on the existing pole above the existing <br />motel sign. UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER ARNOLD, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />GARRIGAN, AND CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED TO APPROVE ZONING PERMIT Z-68-13, <br />SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: <br />1. That the permit is granted far the sign as described in the application <br />and any attachments thereto, and as shown on the elevation plan labeled <br />Exhibit A. <br />6c.) Z-67-64. Stoneson Develooment Corooration. <br />Application of Stoneson Development Corporation, 3150 20th Avenue, San Francisco, <br />to permit installation of an on-tract sign, Z-67-64, to be located at the <br />northerly boundary of the Stoneson property. Mr. Castro reviewed the staff <br />report, explaining that one sign had been erected, and the proposed sign <br />would be located at the northerly boundary of Stoneson property. UPON MOTION <br />OF COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, SECONDED BY CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, IT WAS DETERMINED <br />TO APPROVE ZONING PERMIT Z-G7-64 SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br />1. That the sign shall not exceed 20 feet in height. <br />2. That the total sign square footage shall not exceed 250 square <br />feet. <br />3. That the permit be granted for a period of 18 months. <br />4. That all requirements of any law or agency of the State, Alameda <br />County, and any other governmental entity shall be met. <br />5. That the sign shall be a single faced sign. <br />7a.) Western Sierra Lumber Comnanv. <br />Request of Western Sierra Lumber Company, P.O, Box 3498, San Francisco, <br />for Planning Commission reconsideration of the ccnditicn attached :to Use <br />Permit UP-67-24, to allow the use to run for the term provided for by law. <br />Mr. Castro reviewed for the Commission their action of January 24, 1968, <br />which approved the Conditional Use Permit for a period of ten years, with <br />the privilege of renewal. Mr. Falea gave a brief history of Annexation 49 <br />which included the property of Western Sierra Lumber Company, stating that <br />-2- 3-13-68 <br />
