Horn. <br />Application of Emmett Horn, 921 Rose Avenue, Oakland, for a Zoning Permit for <br />a home occupation to permit him to conduct a business, by use of the phone, <br />in the sale and service of fire extinguishers. Mr. Castro explained that the <br />purpose was to have the Commission express their position on the above appli- <br />cation, before Mr. Horn bought a home in the Pleasanton area, which he would <br />like to do. Mr. Horn stated no equipment would be stored in his garage, <br />also that no work would take place at his home; however a 7 foot by 12 foot <br />walk-in van would be parked in front of his home each night. The real reason <br />for the permit, he continued, was to allow him to use his phone and address <br />for business purposes. After considerable discussion, Chairman Antonini, stated <br />that the Commission would prefer to have a study meeting on the intent and <br />limits of home occupations in order to take a stand on the issue. Mr. Horn <br />was in favor of the postponement. Z-68-21, Pacific Gas & Electric Co. <br />Application of Pacific Gas ~ Electric Company for Site Plan, Architectural <br />and Landscape Approval (Zoning Permit Z-68-21) to allow a modification to <br />the existing distribution station located north of Stanley and south of the <br />Kaiser Radum Plant. Mr. Castro presented the staff report recommending approv- <br />al. Len Strathouse, representing P.G.&E. stated the proposed structure is <br />a duplication of the existing facilities, except it will be twice the size. <br />Mr. Strathouse, in reference to the Department recommendation for 15 gallon <br />sized trees, stated he was informed by a nursery that the 5 gallon tree size <br />adapts better to the area; stating also that the landscaping work would be <br />contracted out to a nursery, which should be approved by the Planning Director. <br />UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER ARNOLD, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER GARRIGAN, AND <br />CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED TO APPROVE ZONING PERMIT REQUEST, Z-68-21, SUBJECT <br />TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br />1. That the permit is granted for the land described in the application and <br />any attachment thereto, and as shown on the site plan and landscaping <br />plan submitted, labeled Exhibit A. <br />2. That all landscaping (including shrubs and trees) shall be subject <br />to the approval of the Planning Director. <br />be. Z-68-22, William Marsh. <br />Application of William Marsh for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Architectural <br />and Landscape Approval to allow the construction of the Pleasanton Justice Court <br />building, located on the south side of Angela Street, approximately 200 <br />feet east of Main Street. Mr. Norm Dyer, representing the applicant, spoke <br />briefly concerning the proposal, stating the lease agreement was for a period <br />of five years. Mr. Dyer agreed to the stated conditions in the staff report. <br />Upon motion of Commiieafoner 6arrigan, eeacnded by Chairman Antonini, the <br />following Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 773 <br />WHEREAS, the application of idilliam Marsh for a Zoning <br />Permit (Z-68-22) with Site Plan, Architectural <br />and Landscape Approval to allow the construction <br />of the Pleasanton Justice Court building, located <br />on the south side of Angela Street, approximately <br />200 feet east of Main Street, has come before this <br />Commission, <br />NOTd, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />APPROVED: that the above application be approved subject <br />to the following conditions: <br />L. That the permit is granted for the property <br />described in the application and any attachment <br />thereto, and as shown on the site plan and <br />elevation drawings labeled Exhibit A. <br />
