Request for a Variance V-4460 by Eugene Bowen and John McKee, to waive <br />restriction against change in nonconforming use to allow as a home occupation <br />the keeping of 15 rabbits located at 3631 Vine Street north side 185' west of <br />intersection with Linden Way, Pleasanton Area, Pleasanton Township. Mr. Castro <br />noted that the area is rural, and staff had no objection to the County's grauL- <br />ing of the Variance, as it will eventually comply with the zoning of the <br />Pleasanton future planning area should the area be annexed to the City. Upon <br />motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, the following <br />Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 780 <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />has reviewed the Variance request V-4460 of Eugene <br />Bowen and John McKee to allow as a home occupation <br />the keeping of 15 rabbits located at 3631 Vine <br />Street, north side 185' west of the intersection <br />with Linden Way, Pleasanton Township, and finds <br />1. That the area in question is now in the <br />County, and <br />2, That the surrounding parcels of land are <br />sparsely populated and rural with an adequate <br />amount of open space between existing residences, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton recommends to the Alameda County <br />Planning Department the approval of said <br />Variance for a period of five years, and sub- <br />ject to review by the County Health Department. <br />Se,) V-68-11 Jack Bras for Dou las Huntze. <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of J. Jack <br />Bras, 4377 1st Street, for a Variance to Section 16.700 to allow the construction <br />of a single family residence on a non-public street located on the west side <br />of Pine Hill Lane approximately 400 feet west of Bevilacqua Court. Mr. Castro <br />stated his concern was with the location of the garage area due to future strer_t <br />dedication which would not then allow for a 23 foot setback as squired by <br />the Zoning Ordinance. After further review of the plans and discussion with <br />Mr. Bras, this matter was resolved as having been correct on the plans sub- <br />mitted.
