dedicate to the City a 20 foot wide strip of land between his property and the <br />existing public right-of-way, Mr. Campbell stated the applicant should seek <br />to acquire the property and in the event he could not, that he then contact <br />the City for their assistance to use its powers of condemnation to force the <br />owner to sell the 20 foot strip. Mr, Bras asked that the Commission approve <br />the site, sad that the applicant would try to acquire the said 20 foot wide <br />strip. After further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, <br />seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, and carried, the public hearing was closed. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, the <br />following Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0, 781 <br />WHEREAS, the application of J. Jack Bras, 4377 lat Street, <br />for a Variance (V-68-11) to Section 16.700 to <br />allow the construction of a single family residence <br />on a non-public street located on the west side of <br />Pine Hill'Lane approximately 400 feet west of Bevil- <br />acqua Court has come before Chia Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above application be approved subject <br />to the following conditions: <br />1. That the permit is granted for the property <br />described in the application and any attachment <br />thereto and as shown on the plot plan labeled <br />Exhibit A. <br />2. That Mr. Huntze acquire and dedicate to the City the <br />20 foot wide strip of land that lies between his <br />property and existing public right-of-way, <br />3. That a six inch water main be constructed at this :. <br />time from Bevilacqua Court across the entire <br />frontage of this property with a fire hydrant installed <br />at location to be determined, These facilities to <br />be financed by applicant with reimbursement agreement <br />executed. <br />4. That Mr. Huntze enter into an agreement with the <br />City to provide street improvements including curbs, <br />paving, drainage facilities and sewer line at such:: <br />time these improvements are deemed necessary by the <br />City Engineer. <br />13. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />The Commission asked if a meeting between the City Council and the Planning <br />Commission had been scheduled to study the problem of home occupations. Mr. <br />Castro informed the Commission no date had been set as yet, but he would <br />check into it. <br />b.)It was decided that the Planning Commission would have a dinner meeting on <br />May 23, 1968, in order to discuss various matters concerning the transition <br />between the old and the new Zoning Ordinance. Mr. Castro stated a memorandum <br />would be mailed giving more details on the meeting. <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of <br />Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, and carried, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 9:30 P,M. to meet again on May 22, 1968, at 8:00 P,M, <br />/,: <br />t <br />6, 5-8-68 <br />
