RESOLUTION N0. 778 <br />WHEREAS, the applications of Morrison Homes, Tamalpais Improve- <br />ment Co., and Diablo Improvement Co., 6000 Telegraph <br />Avenue, Oakland for Variances V-68-10, V-68-9, V-68-7, <br />and V-68-8 to allow the construction of a 6 foot screen <br />property fence to encroach 5 feet into the required <br />front yard setback on lots 9, 10, 22, 23, 33, 34, 41 <br />and 42 of Tract 2904 has come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above applications be approved subject to <br />the following condition: <br />1. That the permits are granted for the land as <br />described in the application and any attachment <br />thereto and as shown on the plot plans submitted, <br />labeled Exhibit A. <br />Se.) Thorson, <br />Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of William E. <br />Thorson, 1710 Orchard Way, Fleasanton, for a Variance to allow the construction <br />of a covered patio to encroach 3 feet into the required rear yard setback. <br />Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Carrigan, and <br />carried, the public hearing was closed. Upon motion of Commisn3 ~r.ex (_n rrip~n, <br />seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, the following Reaolt~tion was adopted by <br />unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 779 <br />WHEREAS, the application of William E. Thorson, 1710 <br />Orchard Way, Pleasanton, for a Variance V-68-13 <br />to allow the construction of a covered patio to <br />encroach 3 feet into the required rear yard set- <br />back has come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above application be approved subject <br />to the following condition: <br />1. That the permit is granted for the land as <br />described in the appllcation and any attachment <br />thereto, and as shown on the plot plan submitted <br />labeled Exhibit A. <br />Sg.) RZ-67-14, Planning Commission. <br />This matter was continued to the meeting of May 22, 1968, pending a final <br />decision on Annexation No. 56. <br />6a.) 2-68-25, Charles E. Walls. <br />Next was the application of Charles E. Walls, 1216 Encino Street, Hayward, <br />for a Zoning Permit Z-68-25 for retail selling of ceramic tile, electric <br />lamps, patio furniture, and marble table tops to be located at 608 Main <br />Street. Mr. Castro noted the proposed conditions were basically the same <br />as those placed on the previous owner, plus a condition for providing additional <br />parking as suggested by the City Council on appeal by a previous applicant. <br />UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER GIBBS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER GARP.IGAId, AND CARRIEi.', <br />IT WAS DETERMINED TO APPROVE ZONING PERMIT Z-68-25 SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING <br />CONDT_TIONS: <br />1. Record owner of the property to enter into an agreement with the City of <br />Pleasanton to provide additional parking to serve the owner's land by exer- <br />cising discretion as follows: <br />a. Cooperate with the City and civic organizations in establishing parking <br />lots to serve the central businese district. <br />b. Withhold any protest to assessment districts initiated by the City to <br />finance parking facilities for the central business district. <br />4, 5-8-68 <br />
