T.o project 12 feet 6 inches over public property and to allow a reduction in <br />the number of parking spaces from 28 to 19. <br />6a.) Z-68-28. Citv of Pleasanton. <br />At the same time it was decided to consider Z-68-28, application of City of <br />Pleasanton for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Architectural a.nd Landscape <br />Approval to allow remodeling and alterations to the main fire station. Com- <br />missioner Plato felt there could possibly be 40 people on the site at one time, <br />and felt that parking was inadequate. Mr. Castro stated he had been told <br />approximately 33 people would be the most on the site at one time, and as <br />many of the men did not use their own transportation, the number of parking <br />spaces should be adequate. The problem of other property owners in the future <br />requesting an overhang equal to that allowed for the Fire Department was <br />discussed. Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Plato, <br />and carried, the public hearing was closed, Upon motion of Commissioner Plato, <br />seconded by Chairman Antonini, the following Resolution was adopted by unanimous <br />vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 782 <br />WHEREAS, the application of the City of Pleasanton, 603 Main <br />Street, for a Variance V-68-14 to Sections 2.107 <br />and 15.102 to allow the remodeling and alterations <br />to the main fire station on Railroad Avenue to project <br />12 feet 6 inches oust public property and to allow <br />a reduction in the number of parking spaces from 28 <br />to 19 has come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the above named application V-68-14 be <br />approved subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That the permit is granted for the land as <br />described in the application and any attachment <br />thereto and as shown on the plot plan labeled <br />Exhibit A. <br />2. That a redesign of parking areas be <br />submitted for approval by the Planning Director <br />allowing additional parking. <br />6a.) UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER PLATO, SECONDED BY CHAIRMAN ANTONINI, AND <br />CARRIED, IT WAS DETERMINED TO APPROVE Z-68-28, APPLICATION FOR SITE PLAN, <br />ARCHITECTURAL AND LANDSCAPE APPROVAL TO ALI.OSd REMOD$LING AND ALTERATIONS TO <br />FIRE STATION ON RAILRQAD AVENUE, SUBJECT TO THE FOI.i,OWING CONDITIONS: <br />1. That the permit is granted for the land as described in the application <br />and any attachments thereto and as shown on the plot plan and elevation plans <br />submitted labeled Exhibit A. <br />2. That a precise landscaping plan listing plants and materials be submitted <br />to the Planning Department for review and approval. <br />3. That the construction of all driveways, sidewalks, driveway openings, <br />and street improvements be subject to the approval of the Public Works Department. <br />4. That parking spaces shall be bumper stopped and striped. <br />5. That a 6 foot redwood screen fence be provided along the property line <br />adjacent to the railroad right-of-way and the property line adjacent to the <br />main parking lot. <br />6. That a site drainage plan be developed and submitted to the City Engineer <br />for approval. Curb grades should be finalized prior to establishment of the <br />finish floor elevation for the building. <br />7. That street improvements be constructed along Railroad Street in conjunction <br />with this development. These street improvements should include curb and <br />gutter, sidewalk, paving, street lighting, storm drainage facilities and mis-: <br />gellaneous iten~,..such,ae street t:onuments and fire hydrants:, Plans for these <br />improvements should be prepared by a licensed civil engineer. <br />2. 5-22-68 <br />
