generally fronting on Hopyard Road and extending easterly and parallel to <br />the S. P. R. R., said property containing more or less 445 acres. Mr. Castro <br />gave the staff report, stating that the zoning as requested reflected the <br />proposed zoning as presented to the Commission on the preliminary plan. <br />For the benefit of the audience, Mr. Castro explained the land uses for the <br />proposed development. Mr. Henry Dane asked if a school was proposed in tt:e <br />immediate area. Mr. Castro explained that school sites were selected by the <br />school districts, and therefore no definite school site was shown in the <br />subject development. Upon motion of CommisaionerGarrigan, seconded by <br />Commissioner Plato, and carried, the public hearing was closed. Upon motion <br />of Commissioner Carrigan, seconded by Chairman Antonini, the following Resoi~i- <br />tion was adopted by unanimous vote: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 788 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Willow West Properties, Suite 303, <br />28 N. First Street, San Jose, to rezone from the Agri- <br />culture District to Planned Unit Development (PUD) and <br />Single Family (R1-6500) that property comisonly known <br />as the Willow West Properties and generally fronting <br />on Hopyard Road and extending easterly and parallel to <br />the S.P.R.R, containing more or leas 445 acres has <br />come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED: that the Commission does hereby recommend to the City <br />Council the adoption of the proposed rezoning RZ-68-4 <br />with land uses as follows: <br />1. The PUD development district zoning classification <br />shall be applied to a parcel approximately 360± acres <br />with land use designation as follows: <br />I-G (General Industrial) District, land use classifi- <br />cation shall be applied to approximately 63+ acres. <br />I-P (Industrial Park) District, land use classification <br />shall be applied to approximately 62+ acres. <br />C-F (Freeway Interchange Co®ercial) District, land <br />use classification shall be applied to approximately <br />38± acres. <br />C-S (Commercial Service) District, land use classifi- <br />cation shall be applied to approximately 12± acres. <br />0 (Office) District, land use classification shall <br />be applied to approximately 12± acres. <br />A (Agricultural) District, land use classification <br />shall be applied to approximately 173+ acres. <br />2. R1-6500, one single family residential district <br />with 6500 square foot minimum sites, and residential <br />overlay district classification shall be applied <br />to approximately 73± acres. <br />Sc.) Charles Lehmann. <br />Mr. Castro informed the Commission that the application of Charles Lehmann, <br />1833 East 25th Street, Oakland, for a Variance to allow a reduction in <br />the site area per dwelling unit from 1500 feet to 1477 square feet at 852 <br />Division Street, should be continued until the applicant submits a new site <br />plan with architectural drawing for the property in question. <br />6b.) Z-68-30. Charles Lehmann <br />The application of Charles Lehmann, 1833 East 25th Street, Oakland, for a <br />Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Architectural and Landscape Approval for a <br />12-unit apartment building to be located at 852 Mvision Street in an FM-15 <br />District was also continued for the reason stated above. Discussion ensued <br />between the Commission and Mr. Lehmann concerning the architecture of the <br />proposed multiple dwelling as well as possibilities for a better arrange- <br />ment of parking. UPON MOTION OF COMMISSIONER GIBBS, SECONDED BX COfi+SISSIONTR <br />GARRIGAN, VARIANCE V-68-16 AND ZONING PERMIT Z-68-30 WERE CONTINUED TO A <br />MEETING IN THE FUTURE, DATE TO BE DECIDED BY THE APPLICANT AND THE PLANNING <br />DEPARTMENT. <br />3. 6-12-68 <br />
