Mr. Larry Billings was in the audience and addressed his remarks to the <br />Commission. He wanted to stress to the Commission that he planned a complete <br />line of garden supplies, and equipment geared to serve the needs of the home- <br />owners. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by Commissioner Carrigan, and <br />carried, the Public Hearing was closed. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Arnold, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and <br />carried, the following resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 839 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Casa Verde Garden Center <br />to extend UP-68-8 by adding a parcel of <br />land just north and adjacent to the original <br />property, said parcel extending 100 ft, along <br />Sunol Boulevard by 225 ft. deep. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that UP-68-8 be approved, subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />1. That the permit is granted for the property <br />as described in the application and any attach- <br />ments thereto, and as shown on the attached <br />plan labeled Exhibit A. <br />2. That the applicant provide a driveway from <br />the proposed new gate to Sunol Boulevard. <br />3. That the applicant adhere to the standards <br />of the Public Works Department in respect to <br />driveway openings and street improvements along <br />said frontage in accordance with the recommenda- <br />tions as previously stated by the Planning <br />Commission in their letter dated May 9, 1968. <br />4. That the applicant adhere to treatments and <br />finishes as shown on the submitted plans dated <br />November 26, 1968. <br />5. That materials stocked in the establishment <br />be confined to garden supplies and related <br />industries, including chain saws and cement <br />mixers. <br />6. That the stacking of pallets be restricted <br />to a maximum height of 6 ft. <br />9. TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION MAPS <br />a. Application of MacKay & Somps for approval of Tentative Tract Map -02573, <br />Mission Park Unit ~k5 <br />The Chairman opened the Public Hearing, and Mr. Ted Fairfield of MacKay & <br />Somps was present to answer any questions raised by the Commissioners. There <br />was considerable discussion concerning the item of park dedication, that there <br />is approximately 5 acres involved in the park dedication. <br />Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Carrigan, and <br />carried, the Public Hearing was closed. <br />- 8 - <br />
