The Planning Director again explained his reasons for denying the application
administratively, citing the fact that it was not in accordance with Sec.19.100
of Article 19 of the Zoning Ordinance.
Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and carried,
the Public Hearing was closed.
Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and carried,
the following resolution was unanimously adopted.
RESOLUTION N0. 842
WHEREAS, the appeal of Ellene Goedert to the
Planning Director's administrative denial
of a Home Occupation to operate a beauty
salon out of her home at 4010 Francisco
Street, has come before this Commission,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City
of Pleasanton hereby denies the application
of Ellene Goedert for a home occupation
under AP-68-4.
c. Precise Plan Lines
Ordinance adopting Precise Plan Lines for Bernal Avenue, Ray Street, Peters
Avenue, Vine Street, Dei Valle Parkway, Santa Rita Road-Tassajara Road and
Division Street.
Chairman Antonini opened the Public Hearing, and Mr. Alan Campbell, Director
of Public Works explained from several diagrams the plan lines being adopted
into the new ordinance. These precise plan lines had previously been adopted
under the old Ordinance No. 309, but the City Attorney and the Director of
Public Works felt it would be best to gather all these precise plan lines and
have these adopted under the new Ordinance No. 520.
Upon motion of Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Garrigan, and carried,
the Public Hearing was closed.
Upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and carried,
the following resolution was unanimously adopted.
RESOLUTION N0. 838
WHEREAS, an ordinance adopting precise plan lines
for Bernal Avenue, Ray Street, Peters
Avenue, Vine Street, Del Valle Parkway,
Santa Rita Road-Tassajara. Road and Division
Street, has come before this Commission,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commnission of the City of
Pleasanton do hereby approve the precise plan
lines for said streets as defined by the
Director of Public Works in his report dated
November 26, 1968.
e. UP-68-8. Casa Verde Garden Center
To extend UP-68-8 by adding a parcel of land just north and adjacent to the
original property, said parcel extending 100 ft. along Sunol Boulevard by
225 ft. deep.
The Public Hearing was opened by Chairman Antonini. Mr. Castro explained the
expansion requested by Mr. Larry Billings, who is the operator of the garden
center; however, Mr. Castro's feelings were that chain saws and cement mixers
may be extending the use beyond its original intent. Also, the Planning
Director felt that the Commission should limit the height of the pallets for
storing the garden supplies.
- 7 -
