C+vic Dyerlay District amenamenc - ria nnina t.vmmine wa <br />Application of the Planning Co®mission, City of Pleasanton, for an amendment <br />to Ordinance No. 520, establishing Article 14, Civic Overlay District (C-O). <br />After a lengthy discussion, it was resolved by the Planning Comtaisaion that <br />this item be continued to the meeting of August 14, pending further review <br />of the material submitted. <br />6. ZONING PERMITS <br />a. Z-68-42. Richard W. Christensen <br />To allow an existing small house to be remodeled to operate a travel <br />service office and also temporary permission to operate the Greyhound <br />Agency from the hobby shop at the property known as 459 Main Street. <br />Due to urgency of the situation, Chia matter was put on Che agenda ae <br />an addition. Mr. Young is raqueating permission to put up a temporary <br />structure like a trailer for the purpose of conducting their business <br />until the building is constructed. As alternatives, they might use <br />the Johnson building or the hobby shop. The Commissioners requested <br />how long this arrangement would continue, assuming 1t would not be for <br />a period longer than two months. Commissioner Plato objected to the <br />arrangement feeling that this was not the responsibility of the <br />Planning Commission, and that the City should not have to make the beet <br />of an inferior arrangement. The Planning Department endeavored to bring up <br />the point that the arrangement would be temporary and that the zoning permit <br />application was made by differenC people than the previous applications. <br />
