General Plan statements which encourage the City to grow to <br />support an employment base of 75,000 workers, including <br />professional, managerial and clerical workers. It is also <br />consistent with Policy 6 of Goal 1 of the Land Use Element <br />which encourages industrial, commercial and office <br />development in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> The City Council therefore finds that the <br />unmitigated impacts of the Project are justified by the need <br />to create employment opportunities in the City. <br /> <br />D. Public Service and Infrastructure Benefits. <br />The City Council finds that the Project, including <br />the subsequent development of the Project site, will also <br />enhance the City's ability to provide an adequate <br />transportation system, adequate flood control, and other <br />infrastructure benefits. Fees collected for the development <br />of the Project site will be a substantial source of funding <br />for needed improvements to Stoneridge Drive and E1 Charro <br />Road, the widening of the Arroyo Los Positas and Arroyo <br />Mocho so that a 100 year flood will be contained within their <br />banks, and the development of new school sites. The City <br />Council further finds that the Project and the subsequent <br />development of the Project site, in accordance with the <br />conditions of approval to be imposed and the fees to be <br />collected, will enhance the City's ability to provide <br />adequate services. The City Council further finds that this <br />project will enhance the provision of recreational sites <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
