Bernal Avenue between Nevada Court and the entrance facing Utah
Street, subject to the review and approval of the Planning Director and the
City Engineer. Design modifications to the adjacent frontage of the
parking area may or may not be required at the discretion of the Planning
Director.
c. Install a modified bus turnout with a bus shelter pad on the east side
Bernal Avenue northerly of the development's entrance opposite Utah
Street. The project developer's engineer shall work with the City Engineer
to modify the length of the turnout to minimize the disturbance of the
existing utility boxes. The project developer shall purchase a shelter for
this location, and shall deliver it to the Livermore-Amador Valley Transit
Agency's (LAVTA) corporation yard. After LAVTA establishes a bus route
on Bernal Avenue, LAVTA shall be responsible for installing the shelter,
garbage container, etc.
d. Install an approximately 10-foot wide by 40-foot long concrete pad within
the roadway on Stanley Boulevard between the development's driveway
entrances, and provide a shelter and garbage container at this location for
the bus stop.
e. An encroachment permit shall be obtained prior to the above-stated
installations. Lighting shall be provided at these stops and shelters. The
bus shelter designs, including bench style and trash container shall be
submitted to the Planning Director for review and approval before
installation/purchase. The shelters shall be maintained by LAVTA and the
weekly trash pick up shall be administered by the property owner or by the
property owner's association if the project covered by this approval is
subdivided.
f. If the project is phased, with the first construction phase install a traffic
signal at the Utah Street/Bernal Avenue intersection, including the
installation of the traffic signal interconnect. The traffic signal interconnect
shall tie to the existing traffic signal controller on Stanley Boulevard and
run along the project Bernal Avenue frontage to Nevada Court. This
signal shall be operational before project occupancy.
g. The design of the left turn pocket on Stanley Boulevard to the easternmost
driveway entrance shall be submitted to the City Engineer for review and
approval. If necessary, the project developer shall apply for an
encroachment permit from Alameda County for any part of the
deceleration lane within the County jurisdiction.
h. Modify the median break on Stanley Boulevard opposite the easternmost
driveway entrance to prevent drivers exiting this driveway from turning left.
