This is a first step for subnutting projects to MTC <br />as identified in Attachment 1. The Committee is also requested to provide feedback on the Draft <br />Call for Projects. Project submittals are due on May 25`t'. The draft list of Vision Projects will be <br />considered by the CMA Board in June and the fatal list will be considered in July. Vision <br />Projects must be submitted to MTC by July 27`h. <br />Next Steps <br />Project Sponsors will prepare the Vision 2007 Countywide Transportation Plan Project <br />Information sheets and submit to the CMA by May 25t1i . <br />Discussion <br />Attachment 1, Defining the 2009 RTP Vision, outlines MTC's approach to developing the <br />Vision for the Regional Transportation Plan. Their schedule calls for projects to be submitted by <br />July 27`h, 2007. Please note other items in the memo: <br />• Assumes Projections 2007 <br />Performance-based targets will be used: delay, VMT' and emissions <br />• Project Parameters <br />o Major capacity improvements <br />o Major operational improvements <br />o Small projects will be bundled into larger programmatic categories <br />o Should be consistent with CWTP, RTP, or corridor studies <br />o Should not have been rejected in a recent corridor study or have a fatal <br />environmental flaw <br />o Maintenance projects will be handled outside of this process <br />MTC staff has indicated that projects for the financially constrained plan will be derived from <br />the Vision.
