No. 985, <br />Approved. <br />MEETING. <br />Court <br />Mr. Oakes readily admitted that another <br />architect, a Mr. McCartney, drew the set of <br />plans that was submitted to the Building <br />Department. <br />A lengthy discussion ensued between the <br />City staff, the applicant and the Commission <br />members. <br />Numerous questions were raised by the <br />Commissioners, which the City staff and the <br />developer attempted to answer. <br />IThe City Attorney also gave his interpreta- <br />tion of the situation. <br />After much deliberation, a motion recommend- <br />ing to City Council that the modifications <br />as proposed by Mr. Oakes be approved and that <br />construction be allowed to continue subject <br />to certain conditions, was entered and passec <br />Falender Homes, Inc. - review of sidewalks <br />along Foothill Road for that portion which <br />encompassed by the Oakhill development. <br />Mr. Ted Fairfield, representing the applicant <br />was present and spoke on their behalf. He <br />stated that it was the developer's thought <br />that should it be made a mandatory require- <br />ment that all developments along Foothill <br />Road have sidewalks put in, then they would <br />be willing to do their share. <br />After considerable deliberation among the <br />Commission, in which Commissioner Gibbs <br />voiced strong objections against the elimina <br />tion of sidewalks along Foothill Road, a <br />resolution recommending that no sidewalks or <br />trail system be installed along Foothill <br />Road frontage of Falender was entered and <br />passed. <br />Resolution: <br />Seconded: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />,Absent <br />Abstain: <br />- 5 - <br />
