q~$ASANToy CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~~ ~%. <br />.~ <br />`~~-~° Planning Commission <br />~wrsv i <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Data ; January 28, 1970 <br />Time : 8:25 PM <br />PIaCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />C O1rIl~lUNICA TI ONS <br />A request was received from Mrs. Marguerite <br />Branson of the Women's Club for permission <br />to build a shelter to be used temporarily <br />for the bus stop at First and Neal Streets. <br />The intent is to keep the senior citizens <br />out of the inclement weather while waiting <br />for the bus. <br />The thought was raised that perhaps several <br />of the service clubs would like to offer <br />to undertake this project. <br />It was moved to have the staff contact the <br />organizations in Pleasanton to inquire if <br />any of them would be willing to, in addition <br />to the Women's Club, undertake this project. <br />The Planning Director advised that he had <br />been in touch with a Mr. Edward Avila of <br />the Alameda County Welfare Department re- <br />garding the processing of child day care <br />applications within Pleasanton. <br />It was the thought of the Welfare people <br />that they should investigate the applicant <br />first before they go to the City for a <br />conditional use permit. <br />In reviewing this procedure, the Commission <br />found the direction offered by the Welfare <br />Department and the Planning Director:. to <br />be desirable. Therefore, it was resolved <br />that the procedures be changed in the follo~ <br />ing manna r: <br />1) The applicant shall make a formal appli- <br />cation to the Alameda County Welfare Depart- <br />ment. <br />2) The Welfare Department shall investigate <br />the applicant and shall have the Fire <br />Department of the City of Pleasanton also <br />inspect the...premises and a final report <br />of those findings submitted to the Planning <br />Department. <br />- 6 - <br />- 7 - <br />
