However, the Chairman pointed out <br />that the Commission had been instructed by <br />Council that the sole function of the Plann- <br />ing Commission is to consider land use and <br />that they were not to become involved in <br />matters of policy. <br />CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT <br />UP-70-1, <br />Res. No. 984, <br />Approved. <br />Chairman Garrigan, did however voice concern <br />regarding the traffic circulation problem <br />on Vineyard Avenue, and called for data <br />regarding the total number of potential <br />units for Vineyard Avenue, and also the <br />average ultimate traffic potential for that <br />street. <br />A motion was entered and passed t <br />item under advisement for 45 days <br />further study of the matter. <br />Falender Homes, Inc. - application to allow Resolution: <br />the construction of a model home sales Seconded: <br />complex, generally located at the end of Ayes: <br />Marigold Court on property described as Noes: <br />Lots 50 through 54 inclusive, Tract 3123, Absent: <br />Pleasanton. Abstain: <br />The Public Hearing was opened by the <br />Chairman. <br />There was some objections from the Public <br />Works Department for the proposal to elim- <br />inate the paving in the upper portion of <br />Marigold Court and fill that area with trees <br />and lawn. This situation could possibly <br />cause drainage under the paving which would <br />in time bring about erosion. Aowever, it <br />was felt that some agreement could be reache <br />between the Director of Public Works and the <br />applicant to resolve this situation. <br />- 3 - <br />
