G. Craig, were both presen
to discuss this submittal and to answer
any questions which the Commissioners may
have.
A lengthy discussion followed.
It was the applicant's feeling that the
homes, although small in size (1200 sq.ft.
average), offered a large environment, which
will include a cabana club and homeowners
association to handle the exterior maintenan e
of the development. This maintenance contra t
will be handled by the FHA.
The total acreage is 9.5 acres gross. The
homes will be primarily two and three-bedro
in size, the ratio not having been establis
at this time. There will be no studio-type
housing.
The sales price will range between $20,000
to $21,000 at inception.
Mr. Oakes told that the market which FHA
discovered utilized this type of housing
was the family with no children, or with
children of college age.
The Planning Director stated that he had no
real objections to the latest submittal.
However, he would like to review it in more
detail. If the concept was to be RM-2000
District, it would contain 198 units, and
if it went RM-2500, it would contain 159 uni s.
Mr. Dale Westerhout, resident of the Fairl
development wished to know how this new
development would relate to the balance of
the development. Mr. Oakes explained this
point to him.
~s
- 5 -
