4~ ~-3Ary~o~
CITY of PLEASANTON
o~
.o
r Planning Commission
`~1fM^V S
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DCte : April 22, 1970
Time : s:15 PM
PIa Ce; Pleasanton Justice Court
Mr. David Bigger, 301 Junipero, in the
Mission Park development, spoke regarding
his concern regarding the increase in density
the City would be approving for the developer
in exchange for such amenities as open space;
etc. Since there is only 100,000 gal.
capacity left in the VCSD sewage treatment
plant, which will be servicing this community
Mr. Bigger had doubts as to how VCSD would
accommodate this higher density, and felt
that perhaps the amenities given to the City
',would not balance what the City would have
to give in return for said amenities.
Mr. Jim Browning of the Mission Park develop-
ment, had a question regarding the monthly
house pay ments for this development and also
the fee paid to VCSD for hooking up the seweY
line for these units.
Mr. Robert Pearson, 3590 Churchill Drive, ha<
a question as to procedure, inquiring where
this submittal would go after Commission
action. Mr. Castro advised him that the next
step would be review by City Council. Some
further discussion followed.
Commissioner Pons related that he had made
a study among other cities of how high a
density the City would be willing to approve
and learned that Livermore will not go
higher than 10 units to the acre, or the
RM-4000. Commissioner Pons expressed his
thoughts that Mr. Oakes~s submittal has too
high a density.
Commissioner Gibbs inquired whether the
concept would be ruined if the density were
to be reduced.
Commissioner Antonini expressed a liking for
the plan but with reduced density.
After some further deliberation, a resolution
recommending approval to the RM-2500 District
with a maximum of 159 spaces was entered and
passed.
- ~ -
