4y~,~,saHToy S T 0 N <br />CITY of PLEA AN <br />~ '~/ . ~ <br />.~ <br />`~~° Planning Commission <br />~MMi~ t <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGte : June 24, 1970 <br />Time <br />Place: <br />Mr. Dudley Frost, representing Morrison <br />Homes, was present and gave a presentation. <br />In addition, he introduced Mr. Charles Delk, <br />his chief architect for the project. <br />HOME OCCUPATION <br />UP-70-12, Denied, <br />Res. No. 1017 <br />Movies were also shown demonstrating similar <br />developments to aid in convincing the <br />Commissioners that this development is what <br />is needed in the City at this time. <br />There followed a question and answer period <br />between the developers, Commissioners and <br />members of the audience. <br />Mr. Victor Bailey, resident of Pleasanton <br />Valley, spoke in opposition to the develop- <br />ment, and presented a film entitled, "The <br />Cost of Development." <br />Chairman Garrigan then continued the matter <br />to the meeting of July 22, 1970. <br />Harold Yetter - application for a home occu- <br />pation to conduct a home occupation for the <br />sale and repair of firearms at 343 Mavis <br />Drive, Pleasanton, in a single-family distri <br />The Planning Director wished to get an <br />interpretation of this type of home occu- <br />pation from the Planning Commission. <br />A relative of the applicant was present and <br />explained to the Commission the nature of <br />the operation. Mr. Yetter is an agent for <br />a firearms business, purchased through the <br />mail. He stated that he would not be recep- <br />tive to going into a downtown address, as <br />he does not have a large enough business <br />to justify the expenditure involved with <br />a regular store. Most of Mr. Yetter's <br />business realizes him 5% handling charge on <br />the mail orders.
