4y~,~-s~NTOy <br />.~; <br />~~o <br />.- .o <br />ww so s <br />CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGtB ; June 24, 1970 <br />Time ; $:05 PM <br />P~GCB; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />N~ 1 ~ °? <br />~ ~~~ N <br />d~ ~ <br /> A Mr. Bob Myers, who lives on Mavis Drive, <br /> in close proximitya spoke advising the <br /> Commission that he has been there for two <br /> years and was not aware of this type of <br /> business being conducted on the premises, <br /> and that the other neighbors were probably <br /> also unaware of this situation. <br /> Mr. Myers stated that he was very concerned <br /> about having this sort of business in a <br /> residential neighborhood. He further obser d <br /> that more cars were parked in front of <br /> Mr. Yetter's residence than in front of <br /> the other homes on that street. <br /> Commissioners Hirst and Pons both voiced <br /> concern for this type of occupation in <br /> a residential neighborhood and felt that <br /> it was inappropriate. <br /> A resolution recommending denial of this <br /> home occupation was entered and passed. <br /> The Commission further stated that the <br /> sale of or service of firearms within <br /> residential neighborhoods should be dis- <br /> couraged. <br /> Chairman Garrigan then made the statement <br /> that the reason he abstained from voting <br /> on Mr. Yetter's application was due to the <br /> fact that he lives just two doors away from <br /> the applicant, and out of deference to the <br /> other neighbors and because of his respon- <br /> sibility to the Commission, he felt it <br /> would be inappropriate for him to cast a <br /> vote on this application. <br />ADJOURNMENT The regular meeting of a Planning <br /> Commission was___.~6urned t___ •25 M. <br /> .~ ~ <br /> Ricar o J.
