4y~~sA"~°y CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~,. ~~ o <br />:x.:o~-~ Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Date July 22, 1970 <br />Time : 7:30 PM <br />PIQCg; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Mr. Morine, a patrolman, gave his views on <br />the traffic problems, stating there would <br />not be any. <br />Mr. Norman Rainey, Flagstone Drive, was <br />concerned about the value and resale of <br />homes in this area if the school was per- <br />mitted. <br />It was moved by Chairman Garrigan, seconded <br />by Commissioner Hirst, that the Public <br />Hearing on this matter be closed. <br />Commissioner Pons opposed the school becaus <br />he felt too much traffic would be created o <br />Flagstone Drive. and because there are thre <br />schools within 1~ blocks. <br />It was moved by Chairman Garrigan, seconded <br />by Commissioner Pereira, that RZ-70-8 be <br />approved. This resolution received approval <br />It was further moved by Chairman Garrigan, <br />seconded by Commissioner Pereira, and <br />carried, that UP-70-10, be approved subject <br />to certain conditions. <br />REZONING REQUEST Raymond D. Young - application to rezone <br />RZ-70-9, Approved, from the C-F (Commercial Freeway) District <br />Res. No. 1021 to the C-S (Commercial Service) District <br />that property described as a portion of <br />Parcel 8-2, Block 3370, Book 946 of the <br />Alameda County Assessor's Office, said <br />parcel containing .57 acres, more or less; <br />property generally located west of Santa <br />Rita Road between the Arroyo del Valle and <br />the Western Pacific Railroad. <br />The Public Hearing was opened by Chairman <br />Garrigan. <br />Some discussion followed, but there being <br />no opposition, it was moved by Commissioner <br />Pereira, seconded by Commissioner Hirst, <br />that the Public Hearing be closed. <br />Resolution: <br />Seconded: <br />Ayes: <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />- 9- <br />
