No. 1026 <br />Henry Hornstein - application to rezone from <br />Alameda County's A (Agricultural) District <br />to the City of Pleasanton's RM-25 (Multiple) <br />District, said property described as <br />Parcels 1-1 and 1-2, Block 1699, Book 946 of <br />,Alameda County Assessor's Office; containing <br />4 acres, more or less. Said property gen- <br />erally located at 3837 Vineyard Avenue, <br />'~Pleasa nton. <br />The Public Hearing was <br />Garrigan. <br />by Chairman <br />Chairman Garrigan remarked that since a stu <br />session with the Housing Authority and <br />City Council and Planning Commission is bei <br />scheduled for August 27, that perhaps this <br />matter should be continued. <br />Planning Director Castro emphasized that <br />application should not be considered in <br />terms of low cost housing, but it would <br />the Commission's prerogative to continue <br />matter until after the study session if <br />so wished. <br />Chairman Garrigan stated that there was a <br />certain amount of opposition from surround- <br />ing property owners on the annexation of the <br />property to the City. <br />Commissioner Pereira felt that this matter <br />should be continued until after the study <br />session; whereupon, the Planning Director <br />stated that the Commission could open the <br />hearing and postpone testimony until a <br />later date. <br />Dr. Howard Long, principal speaker regarding <br />this application, brought the Commission <br />up-to-date on the background of this appli- <br />cation and the urgency for having it approve <br />in order to qualify for a 236 Loan, for low <br />cost housing. <br />Commissioner Hirst joined the meeting at <br />8:45 PM. - 2 - <br />Resolution: <br />Seconded: <br />Ayes <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />
