No. 1026 Henry Hornstein - application to rezone from Alameda County's A (Agricultural) District to the City of Pleasanton's RM-25 (Multiple) District, said property described as Parcels 1-1 and 1-2, Block 1699, Book 946 of ,Alameda County Assessor's Office; containing 4 acres, more or less. Said property gen- erally located at 3837 Vineyard Avenue, '~Pleasa nton. The Public Hearing was Garrigan. by Chairman Chairman Garrigan remarked that since a stu session with the Housing Authority and City Council and Planning Commission is bei scheduled for August 27, that perhaps this matter should be continued. Planning Director Castro emphasized that application should not be considered in terms of low cost housing, but it would the Commission's prerogative to continue matter until after the study session if so wished. Chairman Garrigan stated that there was a certain amount of opposition from surround- ing property owners on the annexation of the property to the City. Commissioner Pereira felt that this matter should be continued until after the study session; whereupon, the Planning Director stated that the Commission could open the hearing and postpone testimony until a later date. Dr. Howard Long, principal speaker regarding this application, brought the Commission up-to-date on the background of this appli- cation and the urgency for having it approve in order to qualify for a 236 Loan, for low cost housing.
