4y$~-3 AIV jOy <br />CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~~o <br />.~.;o.-~ Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DGte : August 26, 1970 <br />Time : silo PM <br />PIO C8; Pleasa nton Justice Court <br />There being no further comments, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Wood felt the idea was a worthy <br />one and felt that the inconvenience of a few <br />would be worth the advantage gained by the <br />many. <br />Commissioner Pereira concurred with this <br />idea. <br />Commissioner Hirst had no comments at this <br />time. <br />Commissioner Pons had a question about music <br />and how late it would be playing. Mr. Brown <br />stated that there is a jukebox in the Liverm <br />center but that it is controlled by a super- <br />visor. <br />Chairman Garrigan felt that there is a <br />desperate need for this sort of center, and <br />although those who oppose the idea may have <br />legitimate fears, most of them can be elimin <br />ated by proper controls and strict super- <br />vision. Chairman Garrigan also advised <br />those who were in opposition that they had <br />an appeal period in which to appeal their <br />opposition to the City Council. Also, if <br />there are problems, once the center is <br />established, that they register their com- <br />plaints with the staff in order that a <br />record could be kept. <br />A resolution recommending approval subject <br />to certain conditions, was entered and pas <br />REZONING REQUEST C. & H. Development, Inc., - application to <br />RZ-70-13, Approved, rezone from the I-G, 3 ac. (General Industry <br />Res. No. 1034 District, that property described as a por- <br />tion of Parcel 4, Block 1301, Book 941 of <br />Alameda County Assessor's Office, containing <br />5 acres, more or less. Said property gen- <br />erally located at the southwest corner of <br />the intersection of Hopyard Rd. and Johnson <br />Industrial Drive. <br />- 9 - <br />Resolution: x <br />Seconded: x <br />Ayes: x x x <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />
