4~$~s"N~°y f EASANTO N <br />CITY o PL <br />~~; . <br />.~ <br />*° Planning Commission <br />`~~IM tD t <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />D Ct8 August 26, 1970 <br />Time : 8:1o PM <br />PIGCB; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />The Public Hearing was opened by the <br />Chairman. <br />The Planning Director stated that he had no <br />further comments. <br />A gentleman who lives at 341 Bernal Avenue, <br />was present and inquired what the rezoning <br />entailed. Explanation was given to him. <br />No other comments were offered. <br />CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT <br />UP-70-16, Approved, <br />Res. No. 1033 <br />The Chairman closed the Public Hearing. <br />A resolution recommending rezoning of the <br />Civic Center property and surrounding prop- <br />erties to the P, 0, RM-1500 and I-P District <br />was entered and passed. <br /> <br />, <br />Twin Valley Y.M.C.A. - application for a Resolution: <br />conditional use permit to allow the operatio Seconded: <br />of a Youth Center in an RM-1500 (Multiple Ayes: <br />Residential) District; said youth center to Noes: <br />be located at 287 Rose Avenue, Pleasanton. Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br />The Public Hearing was opened by Chairman <br />Garrigan. He then read a letter from the <br />applicant stating clearly what activities <br />and what groups would be utilizing the <br />premises. <br />Mr. Jack Fiorio, who owns a small market <br />on Rose Avenue, was present and stated that <br />many of his customers who live on Rose Avenue <br />are against the idea of the YMCA locating <br />on that street. <br />Mr. Mike Brown, 798 Bonita Avenue, and on <br />the executive board of the YMCA, spoke of <br />the need in this City for this type of a <br />facility. <br />7 _ <br /> <br />
