_.4V~~-SAlVTO~ <br />CITY of PLEASANTdN <br />~ ',/ • <br />4~ <br />~~~° Planning Commission <br />~~IM iD f <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Dote : August 26, 1970 <br />Time : s:lo P1K <br />PIOCB; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />A report prepared by the Pleasanton Housing <br />Authority was also cited, wherein it was <br />mentioned the need for housing for the lower <br />income group. <br />The basic objective of the multiple develop- <br />ment proposed within this rezoning request <br />is to provide a high standard of living <br />environment for all ages and income groups. <br />Mr. Ted Fairfield then spoke again advising <br />that the school district had been contacted <br />and Dr. Ray Haskell voiced no undue concern. <br />Mr. Fairfield then directed his remarks to <br />the drainage situation, and that it will be <br />necessary to take out quite a bit of dirt <br />from the channels and this will be placed <br />on the property itself. <br />The density for the single-family area will <br />be 3.8 and the multiple area will be 2.5. <br />Commissioner Pons inquired of the Planning <br />Director if he was in agreement with the <br />manner in which the plan is being revised, <br />to which the answer was in the affirmative. <br />The open recreational areas were also <br />quite adequate. <br />The Planning Director then spoke on the <br />realignment of the Tassajara Canal. In its <br />initial study of the situation, the staff <br />determined that the realignment would be <br />prohibitive cost-wise, but since then, they <br />have learned that it can be done, if one <br />is willing to undertake such an expense. <br />Certain questions were also raised with II <br />the Industrial Committee of the Chamber of <br />Commerce. There is only 400-odd acres of <br />industrial land available for development, <br />out of the total 1800 acres zoned for that <br />use. <br />- 4 - <br /> <br />
