He feels the
'intent of the Commission was for the
.applicant to reduce the number of
,rooms, which he has done, but in the
,,process, he has also reduced its
'size.
Commissioner Wood noted that he still
had mixed feelings about this sub-
mittal.
!The Chairman then spoke, giving the
(historical background oii this par-
'ticular site. He also made a com-
parison between this Institut~~onal
'zoning request and its present zoning
use of RM-4.
.Commissioner Pons noted that it was
his understanding that the FHA will
only finance one such project in a
given area, and this would be, accord
ing to population needs, for not more
than 129 beds. Mr. Myers confirmed
this indicating that FHA is under a
mandate to also consider not only
the application but also the indivi-
duals who will be running the insti-
tution. However, Mr. Myers stated
that if there are more than one
facility of this type in the area,
there are other lending institutions
who would look favorably on a second
facility, if the applicants qualify
as competent individuals to manage
a convalescent facility: He stated
that Pleasanton is in Area 235, which
includes Livermore as well.
There being no further discussion,
a resolut,i:on recommending approval
to rezone from the RM-4000 District t
the P District, was entered and passe
under Resolution No. 1039.
- 4 -
