4~$~sAN~°y CITY o~ PLEASANTON
~~; .
*~° Planning Commission
`~LMtD Z
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
p at@ November 10, 1970
Time : 8:35 PM
PIaC@; Pleasanton Justice Court
Regarding the proposed C-F zoning at ~k680 an
Bernal, Commissioner Hirst felt this would
be a realistic zoning, but agreed with Chair
man Garrigan that prezoning would be undesir ble.
Commissioner Pereira supported the position
taken by Chairman Garrigan regarding the
proposed C-F zoning. He did not like it.
Regarding the area at Foothill Road and
Bernal, he supports the position to reduce
the C-N and C-C and the 0 Districts. Is not
convinced that the RM-25 is the appropriate
alternate land use at this point.
Vice Chairman Pons concurred with the posi-
tion taken by Chairman Garrigan and Commi-
sioner Pereira. Regarding the C-N and 0
Districts, would favor a reduction. Regard-
ing the RM-25, he would like to reduce that
to perhaps the RM-4000. Commissioner Pons
expressed a preference for high level duplex s
or townhouse units, with the Commission
having very strict design review on the
development.
Commissioner Pereira felt that perhaps the
development should go under a P.U.D., so
that better controls could be exercised.
Commissioner Pons would like to consider
each application as it comes in to the City.
Advice was asked from the City Attorney on
the possibility of imposing a P.U.D. on the
area. Discussion followed.
A resolution recommending to City Council
the adoption of GP-70-4, subject to modifi-
cations as noted under Resolution No. 1043,
was entered and passed.
- 6 -
